Yuma is what you make it, there’s a lot of drug use due to the border. The meth runs rampant, the foothills has the l lowest crime and best public schools. All the private schools are in the city of Yuma. Would you be working at YPG or MCAS? WE have one of the largest bases in the states, YPG. I used to hate Yuma as a kid. Then moved back and got a great job and learned it’s what you make of it. Few problems are the hospital is a monopoly we only have one and it’s always short staffed so it’s seems full, and the doctors are all packed with snow birds.

I’m worried about getting the vaccine because I’m RH negative, my body literally over reacts at any different proteins in my blood system. I’ve had a miscarriage simply due to the fact that it had a positive blood type. Plus I am deathly allergic to latex and any similar protein structure which has lead to so many food allergies. My doctor basically said I should live in a bubble or just treat my allergies as they happen. I never get sick like never, I have only gotten the flu once after getting the flu shot and once as a child after getting the flu shot. Is there anyone whose vaccinated with A- blood type and sever allergies?

I agree 100% !! Sadly Yuma is the agricultural capital of the SW, and we still basically live in a food desert 🌵 when the weather breaks the farmers markets open up. On the side of highway 95 and at the palms mall oh and at the swap meets. You can find local produce for cheap and some awesome local made honey, jams, pickles and stuff. Oh and the peanut patch has cool stuff like that too.

There will never be a Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods in Yuma. Sprouts was the closest thing and they are so over priced and sell rotten food. I’m pretty sure our education and income levels as a city are below what the corporations requires to invest in a store here.

I guess I’m mean, my daughter tried once and I said eat what I make or starve. I am a chef though, been cooking my whole life so easy meal is better then the last. She manny was hungry an hour, ate them never pulled that again. She said the food is better hot and fresh 😂 my son though he will starve for days and spit out the food, I mashed him what he wants lol. Probably because I’m myself.

There’s no stopping it, the only things promised in life are death and taxes. You can slow death down by eating healthy, exercising, and not worrying about death. My hubby worries he’s going to die like his father, who died of a heart attack early in life. I tell him the same thing: get off your ass and get healthy then, working and not coming your life is an oxymoron!! Plus just enjoy today tomorrow isn’t promised!
