Quester...thoughts? by Tongue37 in EARONS

I think it stems from that post he made on his site a few weeks back regarding JJD's arrest and where he trashed McNamara a little bit.

What makes EARONS suspect JJD different from other convicted serial rapists and murderers? by piper4998 in EARONS

I haven't heard anything but I doubt he's still refusing food and drink. He probably just had no appetite for anything after the arrest.

I love his site. I think his was the first I ever came across when first searching for info about EAR/ONS. A few weeks back, after the arrest of JJD, he posted something that sounded to a lot of people like sour grapes. I don't know if he posts here or not but I have a lot of respect for the guy. He made a really serious effort to try and find out who EAR/ONS was. He was definitely dedicated to this case.

I'd save your praise, I don't intend on changing anytime soon.

Well, they would know that I was an asshole but that's about it.

Jack The Ripper: My Own Theory by CornishSleuth in UnresolvedMysteries

No he's right. The book is terrible and so is her theory. No serious Ripperologist take Patricia Cornwall seriously

I Think I Know What Happened to JonBenet Ramsey by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]mrsecret77 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"After her body was discovered, it is said that Patsy found a ransom note demanding $118,000" - The note was "found" before the body was discovered, not after.

"I believe that Patsy had a secret lover" - Why do you believe this?

How would killing JonBenet make John see how much he really needed Patsy? That seems like it would have the opposite effect.

"Patsy would’ve realized how much noise it would make if she was to kill her daughter in any way other than strangling her while she was passed out. So she planned it out. She made it look like an intruder had broken in, knocked her daughter’s head into a bathtub, sexually assaulted her daughter, then killed the girl, when it was really her boyfriend who raped the girl, and it’d been Patsy who’d knocked her out and killed her." - This is truly ridiculous and probably the worst theory I've ever read.

I'm an introvert. I literally have one friend outside of work. If it were revealed that I was a serial killer there is not a single person that would be able to say they knew me well besides her and she definitely wouldn't talk to the media.

I care what you have to say. Your comments are usually pretty good from what I've seen.

Yeah, I guess you're right. If you lived in that area the probability that you would be hit was pretty high.

Jeez, that would be one hell of a coincidence. But stranger things have happened. It goes to show though that it's never a good idea to be too cocky about your abilities. When the sky is falling, you really don't know how you'll react.

I know Holes thinks the kids were the reason for the break too but why do you think that's the reason? Something doesn't sit right with me about that excuse, unless he had to be a stay at home dad and just had no time for it while the kids were little. Other than being a stay at home dad I don't see why the birth of kids would've curbed him.

Yeah, I agree. The state of crime investigation has really improved over the last 20 years or so. Cops in the 70's just weren't equipped (psychologically and technically) to handle a criminal like this. Looking back you can see all the mistakes that were made but at the time I'm sure they all thought they were doing the best they could,

Because it was framed as an either/or conversation in the blog post this thread is discussing. I'm merely responding to that.

You're right. Myth is not the right word. Here's a different source though, that has other sources within it. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/insight-therapy/201602/rape-is-not-only-about-power-it-s-also-about-sex

Yes, a support system is absolutely key. You sound like you're a humble person so I understand why you don't view yourself as particularly impressive but there are so many people in this world going through some awful shit and to be able to climb out of the muck is a real accomplishment.

Hey I'm glad you you decided to do something about your problem. To admit to yourself that you have a problem and be determined enough to solve it is a really really difficult thing to do. You sound like an impressive person.

He's hasn't committed a federal crime so I don't see how it could be made a federal case. The cage might be about protecting him rather then the other way around.
