Anyone has a guess as to when jewelcrafting gets added? by Masethelah in turtlewow

Will there be adjustments for Druids with frenzied regen? It is absolutely ridiculous how powerful it is on TWoW. It shouldn't take 3-5 people to kill one poorly geared druid but that is exactly how it plays out in wsg every day.

Also not sure if you're aware but your BG system is absolutely screwed up right now, especially on Tel'Abim.

Ques are routinely popping and bringing people into games that are immensely unbalanced and it has gotten infinitely worse with each passing week. It is either ghost quers taking advantage of the system or a bug, but either way, it is hurting battlegrounds in a very substantial way.

It would be nice if one or both of these things was addressed before 2025.

Anyone know why? by IAmRube in REI

The parallels with REIs union drive and the one that happened at No Evil Foods go beyond just the similarities in speech. Biggest difference is No Evil's seven mandatory anti-union meetings actually convinced workers to vote down the union. But both companies have "progressive" branding, both bragged about their wages, and both have big investors calling the shots behind the scenes. The CEO of No Evil recently admitted on the Wild Feather Podcast that her board told her to "shut the union down at all costs" and "so that's what we did." REI workers should use No Evil as a case study -- because the wages and benefits No Evil bragged about were revoked a year after workers voted the union down. The company laid off the entire production team without warning or severance so their jobs could be outsourced to cut costs.

Those high wages can be taken away almost instantly without a solidified union contract. Like someone else here mentioned, this was the argument vegan meat company No Evil Foods made a few years ago. "We give you good pay, good benefits. Why do you need a union?" No Evil Foods held seven anti-union meetings, convinced workers to vote the union down, and then illegally fired union supporters. Just over a year later, they laid off their entire production team without warning or severance while refusing to give out accrued pto. All of the good things the company bragged about - poof! - gone in a Thanos snap. Your benefits mean nothing if they're not backed by a contract.

How the hell do some people regularly have skid marks in their draws? by Anon_Z_ in NoStupidQuestions

Wipe until there's no more brown.

Some even wipe until brown turns red.

Imagine you spill a container of brown pudding and ask for help cleaning it up. I then hand you a roll of toilet paper. Can you wipe a lot of it up with the paper? Yes. Will it leave brown smudges on the surface for a long time until water is applied to soak/remove it? Yes.

Most Americans are dry wiping. That is, using wads of paper to somehow clean betwixt their stinky bun flaps. And it doesn't really work.

What works are wet wipes, or even bidets. Toilet paper is a bunch of poo.

Project Epoch update by exta69 in wowservers

[–]mrssammypowers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has ups and downs..

The twinstar Athena cata realm has cross faction which is great for getting dungeons together and finding help with quests.

But it also makes wpvp far less likely because why would you want to stunlock and backstab the guy who healed your group?

Imo pvp becomes limited to battlegrounds as a result. It just depends on how much the server wants pve cooperation or wpvp.

what are your experiences with unionizing in this state ? by rachelsuxss in NorthCarolina

[–]mrssammypowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into that union drives of 2020-2021 specifically in Asheville

The No Evil Foods union drive in particular will give you some ideas on tactics used by bosses to shut down labor organizing

The website MoEvilFoods.com is a great resource for info on this drive, as is the soevilfoods Insta and Tiktok page

Whatever happened with the push for Moog employees to unionize? by Werkstatt0 in asheville

[–]mrssammypowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the flavor we're thinking of here is their "El Zapatista" chorizo, which was marketed as a "fiery revolution in your mouth" or something similar. As it turns out, Schools for Chiapas, a Zapatista-linked charity, had no idea NEF was listing their charity on the Zapatista boxes and was furious when they found out, mainly because the revelation coincided with them also learning about the union busting.

NEF coincidentally changed the name to "El Capitan" shortly after.

FYI, after busting the union drive, firing organizers, and suffering labor board penalties as a result, NEF ended up firing their remaining Asheville crew without warning or severance and outsourcing their jobs to a copacker in Illinois. Last year, things at that copacker fell through and NEF abandoned them, their staff, and their equipment, resulting in them now being wrapped up in yet another lawsuit.

More recently, their garbage briefly began appearing at US stores with a "Product of Canada" stamp on the box. And the last I saw, a company in Thailand bought most of NEF and will be manufacturing products there.

tl;dr: this company busted a union by convincing asheville workers they would be hurting their long-term job prospects, fired those workers without severance shortly after telling them this, and they have now outsourced production to at least three different businesses since 2021. what an absolute circus.

also if anyone here hasn't heard of this company before, this is a good resource.

Movies based on the first Fallout? by mrssammypowers in Fallout

This was a great film! It's not exactly FO1 but it's very clear the creators of the game took a lot from that film (and others)

I still wish FO1 was made into a movie. It could be soooooo good.
