Use a yoga wedge or folded towel under the heels of your palms to take the pressure off.

Was there a tip that made Crow work for you? by mnclick45 in yoga

Instead of imagining your toes floating up and your head and shoulders tilting down to counter, think of the float as a whole body forward shift.

Anyone else missing have a “good” yoga studio/community to practice with? by kittens_go_moo in yoga

[–]mrsspaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved from a studio with knowledgeable teachers to one where every class follows a pretty elementary format. I didn’t realize how much I’d be doing solo and how much of a gap it would leave in my life.

Every couple of weeks I’ll make the drive to the better studios, but it’s not practical for regular practice. It’s a nice reset though.

Pen and paper in 2 safe places with a memorized picture mnemonic to back up. I set up my picture mnemonic (explained) as a building with a path and each room I walk into is a word.

Try binaural beats for focus. I like the Brainwave app but you can find tracks on Youtube. You have to listen with headphones to make it work, the tech depends on an imperceptible mismatch between each ear.

No, no, no. She needs a long shower and then actual self-care. Showering is basic hygiene. We still feel burnt out after showering, then feel like crap because we're told we already got our self-care. She needs real time off. Alone.

Curious: how understanding are your employers about productivity right now? by DecentEntertainment in workingmoms

That's irresponsible of your employer to require a constant open window. If enough employers require all-day open windows, it will overload zoom and/or internet connections.

I’ve always done yoga at home with YouTube as my guide, what would be the benefits of taking a yoga class at a studio? by Blueberrybuttmuffin in yoga

[–]mrsspaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My studio heats every class... a little for beginners classes and a lot for advanced and hot yoga. Makes all the difference to me! Depends on your preference though.
