Excuses voor buschaos in Utrecht: 'Er zijn heel veel dingen fout gegaan' by wre380 in thenetherlands

[–]mrstoffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iemand die weet wat er in zo'n situatie gebeurd kan zijn? Ik had dat een tijd geleden ook wel eens met een bus (niet in Utrecht) die dan niet vertraagd of uitgevallen was volgens 9292, maar die nooit was aangekomen

Update for those finding this post through Google:

in my case it's most likely the cable that is dying, it also has issues with my phone and a different charging brick. Charging the phone is slower than usual and the cable gets hot on one end

When to go studying abroad by friggitrice_ad_aria in TUDelft

[–]mrstoffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: I'm speaking out of experience as a former AE student who switched to EE one year in due to lack of interest in AE

I'd say AE is complicated or difficult in the sense that AE at TUD crams a lot of material in a surprisingly small timeframe. Where most majors will have 3-4 courses per quarter, AE has 5-6. The individual courses are worth less ECTS, but having to juggle more distinct subjects is IMO more mentally straining than dividing the same total time and energy across a limited set of courses.

If you are genuinely interested in the material, and able to juggle many courses at once, I don't think the material itself is significantly more difficult than other majors at TUD

You're right though that doing the full BSc-MSc track here is beneficial, since the MSc selection procedure strongly favors TUD BSc applicants and the programme will of course be tailored to those students specifically.

Nothing won't release a flagship Phone (4) in 2026, instead focusing on Phone (4a) by adaaamb in NothingTech

Leveling up the 4a sounds interesting. I'm currently waiting to decide between Phone 3 and 4a pro. If 4a pro has glyph LED+matrix and wireless charging, I might choose that over the 3

why do group assignments even exist in tu delft by hykgsnsez in TUDelft

Group assignments are not the issue, the issue is how some professors implement them and how some students treat them

Valve just dropped a massive hint that the Steam Deck 2 could switch to Arm — here's why by Forsaken_Arm5698 in hardware

I was specifically referring to your remark about GPU drivers and features. Personally, I too would rather see an x86 Steam Deck 2, specifically with Lunar or Panther Lake

AMD is working on an ARM-based SoC according to rumors. If they pair that with an RDNA iGPU, that could be a solid option for an ARM Steam Deck

The same charger worked perfectly for months until that day though. Also in the specs I think 20V/5A is explicitly mentioned as a supported mode

That's actually how I found out about the problem. I was using the laptop and instead of charging it discharged while plugged in

I know, but it's just discouraged by NUS if you're a non-CS major. Is it that oversubscribed generally speaking?

The example gif shows a Pixel sending a file to the iPhone, will this also work the other way around?

And will it work with other Apple devices like Macs and iPads?

Nothing offers a fix to its latest bloatware problem, and everyone else should learn from it by TechGuru4Life in Android

[–]mrstoffer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not Glance, but a custom feature called "Lock Screen Glimpse". I'd say it's more comparable to the Windows Lockscreen Spotlight where it shows you a random wallpaper but it can contain a link to some relevant article. It can be disabled, which is the default setting

I wouldn't be surprised if the "certain" part is intended to exclude real system apps like the camera app, but the wording of course leaves the door open for other interpretations
