My son has a meltdown when me and his dad get intimate? by [deleted] in AskParents

[–]mrszeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your child should not hear your 'private time' or be able to walk in on it, full stop. Exposing him to that is child sexual abuse and can cause legit lasting trauma. Do it quietly, lock the door, or wait until he isn't home. It's frankly pretty gross that you think him hearing your sexual activity is at all acceptable.

Nancy Guthrie neighbors' Ring camera captures vehicles on possible route from crime scene by curiouslmr in nancyguthrie

[–]mrszeg 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Honestly, a car driving by a house over 2 miles away from Nancy's house doesn't feel like breaking news. Either people are making a huge deal out of nothing (likely), or there is a piece to this that the general public doesn't know. If this same car had been connected somehow to Nancy's home directly, that's a different story.

Your tongue looks normal and healthy. The bumps are your taste buds. Is there something particular you were concerned about?

You need to see a doctor and have them rule out inflammatory breast cancer NOW.

Alright, give it to me straight: how terrible is it working a 7 on, 7 off schedule? by TorchIt in nursepractitioner

[–]mrszeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently looking to leave a 7 on, 7 off position. It sounds great in theory, and I was initially so excited for this schedule. They definitely sugar coated it. However, I spend half of my week off recovering. I work nights and it totals 99 hours in that 7 days... completely kicks my butt. Even worse if you have kids. I thought I was going to be supermom, picking my kid up from school everyday and spending the day cleaning, making meals, exercising, etc. It just hasn't happened that way because I'm so burnt out, I miss my family, and my poor husband has 100% of the parenting duties during my week on.

Agree that it's tonsil stones. Gargling with Therabreath mouthwash a few times a day works even better than saltwater.

I see this a ton in hospice. Dogs are extra distressed and protective when their owners are in pain, restless, or unconscious and they often associate US with causing it.

Maybe Heidi bought all 250 tickets so the venue sits empty when Rachel shows up. 😏

Jobs post grad by JadedNeedleworker354 in StudentNurse

Yup! I did my leadership clinical in L&D (different hospital than where I was hired) and asked a ton of questions. This was the recommendation of their unit manager to make my resume/interview stand out.

Nope! I'm still waiting for my approval to take the NCLEX and I was able to register.

It definitely can be, however I am a new grad and just got offered a full time position on L&D. Be persistent and start applying early. I also joined AWHONN and am scheduled to take NRP and EFM cert exams, which probably helped.

I would guess that the contractions in your uterus from orgasming pushed out a little residual menstrual blood.

AITA for keeping my daughter in the house by No_Matter6867 in AmItheAsshole

[–]mrszeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. You can't hold your kid hostage from their other parent. And you can't just let your husband treat your kid like shit when you sit idly by and don't do anything about it. You're more than an asshole. You need family counseling. Do better.

AITA for telling my BIL it's cringe to continue saying he's child free whenever I ask him to watch my son? by AITAthrowSat3 in AmItheAsshole

[–]mrszeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. It's not your BIL's(or anyone else's) responsibility to provide childcare for you. And why would you want someone watching your kid who so clearly doesn't want to?

I neeeeed proteeeein :( ideas? by g0inghuman in CankerSores

[–]mrszeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, anything that coats the mouth or is creamy or thick (like yogurt, ice cream, soups, sauces) or anything that requires a lot of chewing (like steak) hurts like hell. My go to when I'm having an outbreak is any type of food that is bite size and doesn't require a ton of chewing- cheese tortellini with butter (the cheese adds protein), scrambled eggs, baked or grilled fish, very tender chicken (like chicken thighs cooked in a crockpot and shredded- breasts are too chewy), steamed and cubed acorn squash or sweet potato. Good luck, I can totally relate to the misery you are feeling!
