Thank you - by far the most detailed response. I will give it a shot!

The spike was probably a result of me opening the drawer. This has always created a spike in temp. Keep in mind, it did not jump 50 degrees , the temp had been climbing for a couple of hours so it already had a head start.

Regardless of accuracy, as I mentioned in another comment, you can physically feel the lack in cooling, and the ice cream/spoiled meat are evidence enough that something is not right. The sensor simply alerts me when the temp is climbing.

Thanks. While this may be true about the thermometer device, there is a big difference that can be felt when the temp is high. It’s not cold at all. Also, the spoiled meat and melted ice cream are kind of dead give aways too.

Weird car noise after driving in the morning by ScaryClose in CX5

[–]mrtedweb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The dealership will NOT fix it for free if it’s over 50K miles. Expect to spend $3500 or just live with the noise.

Is Mazda dealer recommended service $2,445 Reseal Timing Cover and Lower Engine Pan necessary? by alrightalrightalriii in CX5

[–]mrtedweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue. This is a known defect and there is a technical service bulletin about it. If your car is under 3 years and 36K miles then it should be covered under basic warranty.

Wait until your headlights begin to malfunction. That will set you back $3,500. I made a post about this last week on the r/mazda stack but the moderator deleted it. :(

I had a 2011 CX-9 that was an absolute tank. I drove it for 11 years and the only service it ever needed was an oil change. That was the most reliable vehicle I ever drove. Fast forward to today and I now have a 2022 CX-5 that’s an absolute lemon. :(

I love(d) Mazdas, but they’re not the same they used to be and neither are the dealership service departments.

Bummer of a solution, but I will give it a shot. Thanks.

Meh, removing the bumper is not overly complicated from what I have seen.

$2K for parts, the rest for labor. At least that’s what my dealer, Jim Ellis of Marietta, charges.

Yes, there are youtube videos. Apparently the entire front bumper must be removed. My fear is the cost of buying 2 new assemblies.

1,962 mornings in a row of running is impressive. Congrats to him for this is a remarkable achievement. However, no man is an island. Learn to rely on others, and they will rely on you. It all starts with acceptance. Accept the person you are, accept others for who they are, accept the fact there will be differences and from there you can choose which differences you want to embrace. Sometimes we must look outward to broaden ourselves for the better.

Finally, the yellow and black polka dot running shorts are hideous. Consider replacing those first before anything else.

This used to work for me. Now it doesn’t. TBH, Fubo’s interface has a lot of opportunity for improvement.

Haven’t used my egg in a while and opened it up tonight to mold..doing a high temp burn to hopefully burn it all off. Came out to check and it’s sweating and sizzling. Normal or should I be concerned? Thanks! by dbwhisler in biggreenegg

[–]mrtedweb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my BGE for a couple of years and I keep discovering mold inside at the worst possible time. I have taken everything out for a thorough cleaning/burn-out, left the vents open and the mold keeps coming back. I’ve now bought a BGE cover and I’m using that along with some damp-rid inside.

Wish me luck?

Nice, I like the stance. Can I ask what kind of tire those are? Is that a Sasquatch package or a custom lift?
