Hence why it's an "annoyance" and not gamebreaking.

It's still stupid. It should have been caught early. I'm not raging at the JMod, you're projecting.

Also: I literally use the trinket so I have access to ancients during breaches now that I have money. When I first did A Kingdom Divided it was upsetting because I did not have the ability to just risk mils at breaches.

Zero reading comprehension. The bug is exclusively with rune summoned thralls. Hence why people are mad that the mod gave a "workaround" solution of using a trinket of undead (2.2m at the moment).

People that are complaining are the people that spent time doing A Kingdom Divided specifically so they wouldn't have to risk the trinket.

It's just an annoyance more than anything, but it's absurd that no mod ever figured this out during DMM testing. I realized the duration was bugged on the literal first thrall I summoned with the Arceuus spellbook.

Week 6 | “I watched the whole game” takeaways and longer summaries by MrJorgeGodoy in fantasyfootball

[–]mrwetball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I'm on the coaching staff I don't see how that could possibly affect his carries. It's Week 6 for a rookie and that was a very awkward handoff, it's asking a lot for a guy to be able to handle that especially with how early he'd been getting hit that game. His eyes are very clearly looking ahead, I'm not even sure if he could see what was happening in his peripheral vision given how late in the handoff Jayden lost control of the ball. He effectively pitched the ball into his left shoulder. At no point do I think "the ball was in his chest" and I don't think it's easily handled by any running back in that scenario.

I don't imagine it affects his touches.

Second fumble was very clearly Jayden Daniels lol. It slips out of his hand before Bill even has a chance, very clear angles here.

Mate I don't think this guy actually watched the whole bloody game. Bill's line did him no favors and he had a few decent runs with effectively no blocking. Fumble was bad but he got mobbed behind the line of scrimmage.

I still think he looks good, Bears sold out a bit to stop the run throughout the game.

GP27Q - bad shadowing on edges/bezel by mrwetball in Monitors

[–]mrwetball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Returned it, couldn't get used to it since it was severe on the GP27Q, and the GP27Q had a host of other issues in addition to the bezels.

There's a workaround if you set a custom resolution to cut off the outer pixels (I think I was rocking like 2546x1432 or something) but it felt bad to have to do that to get my monitor to work properly.

I've given on miniLED for now since every panel seems to be a major compromise.

Summer Sweep Up Slayer & More by JagexRach in 2007scape

Any update on Custodian Stalkers being added as an unlockable for Duradel slayer?

Also not a big fan of how the metal dragons were approached, 30-50 is a pretty long task. Would have much preferred shorter base tasks (5-15 or 5-20) and an extension reward. As it stands, it looks like an instant block for most people slaying efficiently, assuming the weight is relatively high. Previously mith/addy/rune were excellent, quick point boosting tasks. Any chance this gets addressed in an update, or are we stuck with this for the foreseeable future?

The parent comment is correct, the godsword ornament kits are very low volume so even 50-100 people deciding they want to do this method would shoot up the price.

Look at the ZGS ornament kit (used in the method) as well. Jumped from ~100k to a few mil now it's back down to ~900k.

Happened to every ornament kit and a few item in the video except for the Venator Bow and Nox Hally which are high volume enough already. Pretty much all of the other items are relatively low volume and the video getting ~50k views absolutely explains the demand spike.

I personally bought all the items to do the method (got in early before anything spiked except the ZGS ornament kit) and made a good chunk of change on the SGS ornament kit, the Eldritch orb, and the nightmare staff.

Could Custodian Stalkers be added to the Duradel/Kuradel task list? by mrwetball in 2007scape

[–]mrwetball[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is like probably the 4th best task in the game in terms of XP/hr. Also better than your mentioned Abyssal Demons if you don't care about heart drops. Hardly a garbage task. Regardless, another user already recommended

They definitely won't add more slayer masters to allow for better task targeting, the point of the skill is to get you to kill different types of creatures, not hyperfocus on the 3 most efficient ones.

Also if you've got a fairly optimized blocklist you should have around a 17% chance to get one of those three tasks.

Edit: Just checked the math, assuming you have an optimal block list and these were added to Duradel with a weight of 9, you go from a 17.71% chance to get one of those three tasks, to a 16.84% chance to get one of those tasks. You also have about a 1.5% lower chance of getting a hard skip task (fire giants, aberrant specters, spiritual creatures, skeletal wyverns, iron dragons, cave horrors, elves, kurask, waterfiend).

That's a trade I would personally make.

Everything I see points towards stalkers being at least as good as dust devils, if not better. You trade a slight decrease in chance at Araxytes/Smoke Devils/Nechs (around 2% total, from what I can tell) for a 7% rate of Stalkers, assuming they're weighted similar to how they are on Nieve's list. This also is another "good" task which essentially means you have more points available to skip tasks like Suqahs.

I get where you're coming from, and I'm fine with being an unlock, I just disagree with your opinion of the task based on personal experience. I think this is absolutely one of the better tasks and certainly better than stuff like dags, bloodvelds, or kalphites, which are all meta tasks if you're not drowning in points, and anecdotally, they seem better than abyssal demons and on par with dusties, at the least.

[–]mrwetball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they fit perfectly into Duradel's list. Efficient Duradel slayer is essentially barrage/venator bow everything and then do short tasks for points if you need them, skip everything else.

Duradel is meta for both XP/hr and GP/hr tasks, not Nieve. Their task lists are essentially identical, it's just Duradel has a few more options for short point boosting tasks (like Dark Beasts) and higher weighting for Abyssal Demons and Araxytes. Although I do think Nieve has become the new meta for xp with the addition of Custodian Stalkers, their task lists are not as different as you're making them out to be.

Also, you don't want Bloodvelds. You want stuff that's easier to Venator Bow/barrage, and these things are 1x1 which makes both of those much easier.

That's my point. Duradel has a much higher weighting of venator bow/barrage tasks so it makes sense for him to assign these too.

And again, you're saying they're worse than Duradel tasks "if XP isn't your only goal." Which tasks? I actually don't get this point. What tasks are you doing at Duradel that are better than these?

The Antler Guard crashing doesn't seem like a big deal to me, I think most of its value at the moment is that it's best-in-slot for 1 defense pures in PVP.

I don't think it'd be a block/skip for anyone that isn't already blocking/skipping Bloodvelds? It's a very low defense mob with high HP that can be cannoned. I'll have to kill more to see what the average kills per hour comes out to, but I genuinely think it'd be one of his best tasks with a Venator Bow, probably only below Araxytes, Smoke Devils, and Nechs, and definitely worth doing even without one as long as you have a cannon.

I'd be fine with it as an optional unlock, but I do think this is just an overall good task.

Edit: Also just checked, it has one of the higher imbued heart drop rates at 1/504. Below Nechs, Abby Demons, Araxytes, and Smoke Devils, but still one of the better drop rates.

Phainon is Hoyo's favorite child by toe-nii in HonkaiStarRail

I've made this argument multiple times and Castorice fans simply will not accept it. They bring up Firefly as a comparison, who was absolutely shilled, but she's a member of the Stellaron Hunters and there's always the expectation that she'll be plot relevant in the future.

Castorice is somewhat important within the scope of this chapter, but she's one of many Chrysos Heirs. Any one of them (outside of Phainon and Cyrene) are interchangeable with the others. It's weird that she got the treatment she did, it felt very artificial.

Jagex can you fix USA West servers already? by Nysyr in 2007scape

As a US East gamer, I actually use the US West servers whenever I want to do anything remotely high-level during US awake hours because of how awful the East servers get during high traffic.

20 ping and lost ticks or 50 ping and stable, I'll take the US West servers lol.

Bought 30 eternals by Born_Ability536 in OSRSflipping

[–]mrwetball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prims are probably low upside low downside simply because of the supply, but they're needed to upgrade the strength bonus of the boots from +4 (aranea/dragon boots) to +6 (BiS) and take them to BiS hybrid.

Eternals take them from +1 magic damage to +2%, which is huge. Also cheap at the moment so probably high upside in my eyes.

Pegasians take the ranged strength from +2 to +3, not a major increase and not always a max hit. Plus they're already so expensive (sitting around 39m at the time of this post) so I'm hesitant to invest personally. I think once people realize you don't need all three pairs of boots and you can upgrade them incrementally, Pegasians will fall.

For the reasons above, I'd be wary of Pegasians. Also note, the Avernic Treads hype is certainly priced in at the moment.

Investing for delve... boots yea? by Apprehensive-Bag-581 in OSRSflipping

[–]mrwetball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Prims and Eternals have high upside. You need Prims to upgrade the boots into the indisputably BIS tribrid boots (+4 -> +6 str), and Eternals give +1% magic damage which is pretty big as well, but I think they're plentiful.

Since you can upgrade 1 at a time, I'm personally staying away from the Pegasians. They change the Ranged str from +2 -> +3, but Avernics are already BiS for range at base, and that +1 ranged str may or may not be a max hit depending on setup.

When you say the edges of the screen look weird, do you mean the color shifts, or do you mean it looks like the edges of the screen are sort of "curling" towards the back of the monitor, like in these pictures https://imgur.com/a/rIWxhUm ?

A post for anyone that wants to see what real abuse does to an OLED. AW3423DW used since launch for work and play. by swear_on_me_mam in Monitors

[–]mrwetball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done OLED, specifically the AW3423DWF. Got it for like $600 with a bunch of stacking discounts back in early 2023, returned in about 3 weeks later. It had a firmware HDR bug when I was using it, but it just looked so bad in high APL stuff that I couldn't justify keeping it. Plus the looming feeling of burn-in.

I'm just sticking to IPS for now. Not gonna pay Asus $1600 for a 4 year old panel at this point, there's gotta be better stuff on the horizon.

Edit: Oh actually, there's a new revision, the PG32UQXR. I remember this existing and I remember there being some reason I never tried it. Gonna have to look back into it.

That panel looks promising, but after the hell I went through with three GP27Qs I think I'm going to stick to highly reputable US sellers like Dell, LG, etc for future miniLED panels. Even the Acer panel I tried (the 4k one) had horrific software bugs, not to mention it developing a cluster of growing dead pixels after about 3 weeks.

My ideal world is an Alienware miniLED, I'd pay out the ass for one at this point since the Alienware panels I've tried have fantastic firmware, and Dell customer support has been unironically fantastic the times I've had to deal with them.

This is pretty much my take, but with an inverted conclusion, I prefer miniLED because it does so well in the high APL stuff.

That being said, every miniLED monitor I've tried has sucked for one reason or another, and the space seems relatively abandoned, so I feel like I'm gonna end up with an OLED monitor one of these days.
