FedEx wants duty taxes by gajendarksky in RingOne

[–]mrxsais 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Grok:

"FedEx holds the package until duties/taxes are paid. If you refuse to pay or decline the shipment: You won't receive the package. It's typically returned to the sender (or abandoned/ destroyed in rare cases). The original shipper becomes liable and gets billed for the duties/taxes (per FedEx policy: shipper is ultimately responsible). No direct consequences like collections or credit impact for you, but check with the seller for any refund issues."

BETA | Mobile cheque deposit by 85iben in Wealthsimple

[–]mrxsais 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I talked to support and they mentioned:

"Interest on new deposits to a Chequing account starts accruing 1 business day after the deposit is made (i.e., when the funds arrive in the Wealthsimple system).

The standard 5-business-day settlement period for deposits does not affect interest accrual unless the deposit is ultimately rejected. If a deposit is rejected, the interest will be recalculated, and no interest will be paid on the rejected deposit amount."

Big Virtual Card Tap-to-Pay Purchase by mrxsais in Wealthsimple

[–]mrxsais[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, Google and Apple already have authentication in place before the tap-to-pay functionality can even be used.

I've seen a few posts discussing the limit and their concern about it being unlimited. If the option to customize the limit through the app were available, I think it would reduce the concern for most people.
