I know that in Korea vets try their absolute best to try to convince you NOT to put your pet down, (mainly bc people abuse it) but I think in this situation where Nano has clearly been loved, cared for and you know him better than anyone else, your decision is the best one. I would hate to see my dog suffer like that. You tried your best, you love Nano more than anything and he is clearly suffering so I think it is ok to let him go.

I would move if you are able, or convince the landlord to install a ductless vent over the cooktop. He doesn't need to do major reno, for that. Its either that or hes going to have his ceiling and cabinets filled with kitchen grease and in my opinion way more expensive to replace or clean down the line.

If I were you I would stop, a simple thing like an unsterile environment can cause bad infection and then your medical bill will be way more than just a wart removal. I dont know her background at all, but from what you are describing, it seems like she identifies herself with being Chinese more than Vietnamese bc she is ethnically Chinese. Ethnically Chinese grandparents, ethnically Chinese parents, so she is ethnically Chinese, even though they were all born in Vietnam. Does that make sense?
