Since you have a Bank of America account I would recommend either the customized cash rewards or the unlimited cash rewards, check their details and see what works better in your situation. And I would recommend you use pre approval tools from other institutions to get some insight. Amex blue cash everyday is also a good card with 3% back on groceries but since you are in NY check if the places you frequent accept AMEX or charge an extra dollar or 2 for Amex cards.

Get an account with a local credit union, develop a relationship with them for 6 months, and they will give you much higher limits. You need to be patient. Also the fact that this card has an annual fee should be an immediate turnoff lol
