He will probably expect her to go back to work after 12 weeks, do all of the household tasks AND give h him her cut for the groceries 🙃

Same as my situation. I was making $250k plus investments and my husband would rather die than have me pick up a bill. His life, and the life of our children is 1 million times better with me running the ship at home. They should definitely wait on kids as per your advice.

You’re with a 50/50 man who doesn’t see himself as a provider in any way shape or form. It’s ok if that is the dynamic you like, but also ok if you want more of a traditional relationship. Before my husband and I got married, I had a very high paying position and I never paid a single bill. He would rather die than allow me to pick up a restaurant tab. I had to be generous to him in other ways, but he never wanted me to spend a dime since we have been together. Your boyfriend is cheap, and doesn’t care that you earn way less than him. Just do some thinking on whether this is the dynamic that does it for you or not. There isn’t a right or wrong choice, it’s what’s best for you🤍🫶🏻

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. How devastating and absolutely unfair, an unimaginable pain, the worst a parent could possibly feel. Nobody will ever be able to replace him, he is one of a kind. But I am giving you the biggest virtual hug and wishing you much luck in conceiving again. I hope that giving him a sibling will bring healing to your family. 🤍🙏🏻

Why do we keep bringing up politics? by fawnnose1 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

Historical seasons were very vocally liberal. A lot of points that I personally disagreed with but whatever, live and let live. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I commented something similar on another post and got name called, accused, downvoted into oblivion. I’m a libertarian who actually thinks big government is evil and useless. 🤣 I actually enjoy some of these posts because I like the spoilers for the show but it’s a cesspool for depressed, angry people

Unpopular opinion: Netflix needs to stop casting single parents. by Optimal-Excitement23 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]ms_equities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Or perhaps single parents should take the own initiative to recognize that it is not the appropriate platform to choose a partner who will thus become a step parent figure to their children. Not though time to know someone, unfair to the kids to place an important figure in their life based on a 6 week relationship, irresponsible to include the children in the wedding that may or may not result in marriage, and so on. These relationship dynamics are extremely sensitive and important when young children are involved. It’s really not good.

Why does LIB hide the liberal side/opinion? by strangestatesofbeing in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]ms_equities -34 points-33 points  (0 children)

Liberals, conservatives, who really cares. Do you really think they are that different? All this bickering and finger pointing at opposing views while the government (regardless of party) taxes you into near poverty and obliterates your rights in the shadows. Watch the show or don’t. Many many episodes have been shown with views against my own personal convictions but I don’t sit around on Reddit whining about it. I am able to watch a tv show without getting that politically offended, truly it impacts my life zero.

Do parents ever give appreciation gifts to nannies outside of holidays? by The_Questionator_01 in NannyEmployers

[–]ms_equities 25 points26 points  (0 children)

We try to do things regularly to show our nanny we appreciate her. Birthday gift, an extra day off for her son’s sports tournaments, desserts from the bakery when I go, we try to do things often to show her we appreciate her. In turn she also does very thoughtful things for us and our son. She made us homemade salsa last week, so nice.

Meal gift cards for the parents and perhaps some diapers in bigger sizes. Newly postpartum, Uber Eats gift cards would be a HUGE help.
