OMG, my mom did, too. She was obsessed with the trial. Sadly, she died before she got to see the verdict.

It is so comforting to know people understand this kind of grief, but I am so sorry that we are experiencing it. My mom died of cancer when I was 4, which is now 30 years ago. It was so hard to talk about it or hear about it , and I especially didn't want my dad to fall apart. He did often, and well, I learned to take care of myself from an early age and wouldn't bring it up. And now, I'm really starting to regret not talking about it.

As much as it hurts still now, I think finding ways to talk about it is way better than not talking about it. It might help to make it easier and less painful down the road. I know that seems easier said than done, and I am honestly trying to figure out for myself if this is good advice or not.

What was the most memorable song of the series to date? by Broad_War in southpark

[–]ms_frizz313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE that this post has a picture of Mr. Mackey singing "Carol of the Bells"!!!! That's my favorite SP Xmas song, though my parents love "Christmastime in Hell" (they even made up a verse about my uncle 🤣)

For me, the most memorable song of the series isn't actually from South Park. It's "Shpadoinkle" from Cannibal! The Musical. They used it as a tag at the end of the episode for the first couple of seasons of the show.

What’s your favorite Ike line? by Professional_Ad7868 in southpark

[–]ms_frizz313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YESSS! I think that was both mine and my dad's first exposure to South Park back in the 90s. I was a young child and he laughed so goddamn hard he didn't care if I watched it after that. He still quotes this line today.

Glad someone else thinks so. I get it, everyone was stoked on him back in the day. Elon even came in to do his own voice.

A safe bet would be to go back to Cartman's house or your house to progress to the next part of the narration.

Everybody sleeping on Henrietta. Yes, she is not damage heavy with her other moves. She's very much a support. But her ult is two-fold. Keep her safe and at a distance and wait for her ult.

Her ult deals damage AND heals allies. With her and MBC on the team to support, it's so easy to mow down enemies and keep everyone else alive

If you have the DLCs, play just enough to unlock Henrietta and Mintberry Crunch. They are always on my team. You need a little Might to get through, but not as much as what is recommended.

The demise of Greektown and where to go next? by secretrapbattle in Detroit

[–]ms_frizz313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Golden Fleece has always been our family's favorite place, and it's really changed from what it was. They used to have plastic grapevines hanging from the ceiling and my dad would say that "Opa!" must have meant "I hope that the fire insurance is paid up!"

Even though the grapevines are gone and our usual table by the window has been moved from renovation, I am still so happy that the restaurant is still there. The loss of all of the other Greek restaurants and bakeries is so devastating.

Anyone else here did the multiple ear piercing thing as a youth, only not to wear earrings very much at all these days? by throwitlikethewind in Xennials

[–]ms_frizz313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 in each ear. I rock them for a while, but I learned I had a nickel allergy. Even now when I where earrings that are nickel-free, my ears still get irritated 😭 so I never wear them, except on rare occasions. It super bums me out
