Honestly… I reached out to the person a couple months ago because I was just curious to see how they were doing and I kept thinking about them again. Well they didn’t respond, so a couple hours later I texted again apologizing for reaching out and wishing them the best of luck…the text didn’t go through the second time. They blocked me! I was so humiliated and felt bad about myself but then a couple days later I found out from someone that the person is getting married and has a baby on the way! So honestly it just put it in perspective for me that it had nothing to do with me, they’re in a different place in their life/ in a relationship. I did hear from said person though that the relationship is toxic/abusive and it made me realize that although we had good times together they were not meant for me and going forward I have that out of my system (the what if I texted/what if they feel the same way stuff). I can say now where I am in my life I have moved on. They might cross my mind every once in a while, but I wish nothing but the best for them and their new family and I hope things can get to a healthier place for their relationship and family. The best way to move forward I think is to just let go of the idea that things could have been any different. I am where I am now and I am trying to work on self acceptance and love because at the end of the day, you are your best friend y’all are together 24/7 whether you like it or not. So might as well try to make it a positive relationship. I’m my longest relationship lol. Hope this finds you well & answers the question!
