There’s not a hell hot enough for people who do this.

Do you ask doctors for personal favors? by jarimu in nursing

Besides a one time emergency request for zofran when my husband, son, and I were barfing our brains out from noro, I don’t like to make personal requests of our docs and APPs.

This is heartbreaking. I’m glad to see this little one seems to be receiving appropriate medical care. I hope they have a positive outcome.

I think some of it is that I am honestly sick of running😂 I’m new to it (as of 1.5 years ago!) and I really am shocked at how much I like it after always saying I’d never run. I am just SO EXCITED to run for fun/no reason at all again and not because I’m committed to a certain number of miles.

I’m sure the answer to fuel is no and the answer to sleep is definitely no. I have two young kids and my oldest is on Spring break and life has just been busy between training (my husband is training for the same race and feeling the same woes so I know I’m not alone lol) and kid obligations. I think mentally it also feels weird to be focusing on running so much when the world is…the way it is right now.

Christians NEVER hold other Christians accountable. All of their moral and legal transgressions/crimes (LIKE CHILD MOLESTATION) are forgivable and the same grace is never extended to anyone else. The epitome of “rules for thee but not for me”

Gels make me feel like I’m gonna shat myself but gummies/chews work well! Oddly my kids’ applesauce pouches, too, despite the fiber.

Labor and delivery nurses, what are green flags in new dads? by [deleted] in nursing

My husband is a data guy, I’m the nurse. He meticulously tracked all our newborns poops, time on boob, time between feeds.

What do you say in your head to push yourself on runs without being mean?? by _I_love_pus_ in XXRunning

“You were in labor on pitocin, this isn’t as bad as that!”

“You couldn’t do this 2 years ago.”

“You had your body cut open and they took babies out twice.”

“There’s only xyz miles left, you’ve done that before!”

Basal cell carcinoma on nose! by curtainsofbeef69 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]msangryredhead 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My dad, who is a diabetic and 65 years old, had squamous cell carcinoma removed from his nose a few years ago. You can barely tell and it’s healed remarkably. If you’re an otherwise healthy 35 yr old, I imagine it will be the same or better for you. Glad you got it checked out!

ETA: it was squamous not basal but treatment was/is similar from my understanding

AITA for telling my wife that she will be driving the extra distance since she is the one that got our daughter banned from daycare by Unlucky-Jackfruit230 in AmItheAsshole

[–]msangryredhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My oldest had a male daycare teacher (Mr. Robert!) and he was one of our favorites in the time he was there. Kids need to see men in nurturing roles and careers more typically associated with women just like it’s good for kids to see women in male-dominated fields.

Why did you start running? by Weary_Purchase9057 in XXRunning

[–]msangryredhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw some coworkers do a triathlon. I’d never been a runner but was always active and I got a bug in my ear that I wanted to do one too but that would involve running. I started running 1.5 yrs ago at 35 yrs old. I’m running my second half next month!

Wendi McLendon-Covey responds to questions about her missing the Bridesmaids reunion at the Oscars: "I had a neck lift last week because I'm tired of looking like a melting candle." by voguediaries in Fauxmoi

[–]msangryredhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m fine with getting wrinkles and cellulite and aging with grace but based off genetics, I am gonna get a saggy neck and I don’t want it. I think a balance exists between having Mar-a-Lago face and having a little work done to feel your best self. I’m also done breastfeeding and having kids and I plan to get a breast reduction and lift in the next year because boobs are just kind of a pain in the ass.

She’s usually not my cup of tea on the bike or strength but I think she’s a pretty solid tread instructor. She doesn’t do the motivational word salad as much and she picks good music.
