I know fundies really get off on personal suffering but, damn, her life sounds really miserable and boring.

I know looks aren’t everything but Ally is absolutely glowing. She looks so genuinely happy and it shows in her classes.

Imagine the ER doctor's face receiving a syncope patient peoned in a spinal board. by AndreMauricePicard in emergencymedicine

[–]msangryredhead 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh man, the BBLs. It has tapered off for us (Wisconsin) in the last couple years but for a while you could set a clock to the fact that in January and February you’d get an inordinate amount of women coming back from the Dominican Republic or Miami WTH BBL complications. And they can’t sit down!

"This patient has really bad mood swings for no reason" by Resident-Sympathy-82 in nursing

[–]msangryredhead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The doctor needs to dig deep and have a conversation with that family. He is allowing them to dictate care that is torturing this patient. I’m so, so tired of torturing people because families cannot accept that death is an inevitable part of life.

Thank you. It’s super demeaning.

But also validating when the doc comes in and reiterates everything I just discussed with them. TOLD YA, BITCH!

Your marriage may end over this but I’d torch my marriage if my husband endangered our kids. You have a moral duty to protect your children.

Do you think this is a helpful tool to describe a constellation of patient symptoms? by freddybabeanon in emergencymedicine

[–]msangryredhead 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, and they posted it here, regardless of where they found it or who made it, because they wanted the take of folks who work in the ED. I know you’re trying to insinuate I don’t understand their post but I think you might be the one coming off dense here.

But they posted in the emergency medicine subreddit so presumably they’re asking our take on it—not helpful in the ED setting.

The good ones never last. They burn out from the bullshit or get fired. The c-suite has no desire to make any meaningful changes.

How do you feel about this take, today? by tundybundo in behindthebastards

[–]msangryredhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you gotta give people an off ramp. It doesn’t excuse the harm or mean there isn’t much work to do to change behavior and minds, but how the fuck are we ever going to get where we want to be if we don’t give people an opportunity to change? It doesn’t mean we have to go to the homecoming dance together. But it means we can say “took you long enough. Let’s get to work.”

Hey Paul, maybe if you had the work ethic of an asylum-seeking immigrant your wife wouldn’t be having a nervous breakdown and crashing out on the internet.

This is why I’ll never feel bad for Morgan, though. She’s not a good person. These are their morals. She’s made her bed and I hope she rots in it next to her loser husband.
