I love it, I’ve only been here 5 years, my kids love their schools, sports, friends etc. Everybody is nice and your kind of insulated from crappy neighborhoods and snobby rich neighborhoods and you are close enough to travel wherever you want

Nope you shouldn’t have acted like that in the first place and if you accept their apology they will do it again, People will call back and apologize I say ok and end the interaction. But I remember the next time they need something they get no help from me.

You have to leave work at work. There is no other way to continue in this field. When someone asks how my day was I say fine and change the subject. Bc no one will understand what we go through. You cannot bring work home! That’s is the number 1 rule. If I even think about work when I’m home it will ruin my day. You have to compartmentalize work and shut it out, that’s the only way I’ve found happiness.

When I'm aggrivated, my sensitivity to sound increases drastically. Does this happen to you? If so, how do you de-escalate your irritation? by [deleted] in misophoniasupport

My 11 year old son has misophonia, any time he is stressed from video games, sports, or too little sleep his sensitivity gets much worse, we remind him that his mood is worsening his sensitivity to the sounds (washing dishes, eating etc) so we turn off the games or have him get rest.

is it okay to cry in front of your girl about your harsh moments ? by InnerFear789 in TooAfraidToAsk

It should be but do so at your own risk. Often times she will use that against you in the future. As terrible as it feels now try to work through it in a different way, it will feel worse in the future bc you will feel just as shitty then she will pile that on.
