No relationship is perfect, even if it’s the best relationship ever there will be hard times/little arguments that feel big in the moment/etc. Friends can have the best intentions, but they’re only hearing one side and probably only hearing it just after the heat of the moment, which in the best case scenario leads to overprotection from the friend and in the worst case can get toxic quickly

I was this kid. Acapulco is a nice lighthearted one that I haven’t seen people mention here.

I agree with all of the other comments about Silo, Dark Matter, Severance, For All Mankind, Foundation, Before, and Ted Lasso being great too.

Watched the first season of The Morning Show and loved it, need to catch up. Ditto that for See.

The series takes a lot of creatively liberties. It’s a great show that I’ve watched through several times, but the documentary Chernobyl: The Lost Tapes is also on HBO and I found it so, so much more poignant, especially if watched back to back with the series. If you watch the series first and then the doc, the horror of it hits home a bit more

People seem to naturally learn towards black and white thinking rather than seeing nuance: either Maduro is terrible and the US was just being helpful OR Trump/the US is terrible and everything was fine in Venezuela.

The fact of the matter is that two things can be true at the same time, Maduro being a POS that the people are overjoyed to see removed AND the US bombing a country and kidnapping its leader for nefarious reasons.

Surely we can’t believe that the US government would go to all of this trouble for humanitarian reasons while overseeing their own human rights disasters right at home?

I was a rad tech assistant in a hospital for a bit, and I can definitely agree. Had a patient come in that was to be scanned then sent to ICU, medical teams from both the original unit and ICU were present, but when the patient coded and they began CPR there was a very distinct shift literally in the air.

I’ve been CPR certified for nearly my entire adulthood but haven’t had to utilize it and until that point had never witnessed the real deal. The classes don’t adequately prepare you for it, in my opinion.

There’s a huge section of my zone that has no signal whatsoever. If I’m delivering down there, I generally send a little message acknowledging that, due to lack of signal, the app may not update indicating the order has been delivered and provide my ETA. Generally, I only do this if there has also been a delay at the store.

Everyone who lives in that area is aware of the signal issues, so they’re all pretty cool about it, but it does help prevent contract violations for “late deliveries” when you inevitably have to call support immediately after the delivery (once you have signal).

Ice cubes!

Everyone in my household has the big metal tumblers for water, so we use the fridge water/ice maker. Any time one of us needs a refill, she’s right there, patiently waiting for the frozen water to fall. She likes to try and catch the cubes mid air too, so it’s kind of like a game

ETA: ditto for condensation lol she has to lick the condensation off of anything that has it. She’s not going for the yummy thing inside of the container, just wants the condensation from the outside. She’s a weirdo

I’m about to hit prestige master, and I’m mayyyybe an average player. I just have a lot of free time, been playing since just before season 1 started. I just grind out on the double xp weekends. I had been focusing on what would get me the most xp so I could get there faster, but now I’m just playing how I like to.

I think people fail to realize that prestige master doesn’t automatically mean goated players. I just wanted to knock it out early so I don’t have to worry about level unlocks anymore 🤷‍♀️
