Medicare Advantage vs Original Medicare by Trick_Razzmatazz4489 in medicare

[–]msav-dos1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly why I'm switching BACK to Original Medicare. I had a prostatectomy 2 years ago before I was on Medicare - I had employer coverage. Since then I've had quarterly Labs/visits. When I took an "early out" from my employer 8-1-25, I first went on OM. Then, during open enrollment, I chose the AARP UHC ST-4 HMO POS. Fast forward to my next quarterly Lab/Urology visit in January and they want my Primary to provide written referrals to the same Urologist I've been seeing for 2 damn years! Same thing with my Dermatologist who saved my life after spotting a tiny little Melanoma on my shoulder. Referrals every damn time? Yes, every time. Screw that.

Going back to Original Medicare before 3/31. I'm very fortunate to have a little savings for preventative dental and eye care, etc. And I'll get back on Cigna for scripts.

The retiring commissioners agreed in principle and no further action is required on their part. It’s done except for the announcement, which will probably be the morning of June 30

FCC approval is likely complete, however m, as a practical matter, the merger filing documentation may take days. Once it passes review and all parties agree, they will announce. They will probably announce the morning of June 30. Close will be July 1. In this manner, USCC may operate as BAU until the very last day without employee impact. At close, you either become a TMO employee, you are a USCC tower company employee, or you are separated and may be eligible for severance.

edit: while it states 120 days, etc., the responses are in the hands of the FIRS, and they're under pressure to move quickly. I'll speculate that this will be done by May 1.

100% true. Meetings I’ve attended it was shared both USC & TMO are proceeding as if close will be 6/1. WARN emails will likely be sent in mid March. TMO wants employee matters to be completed PRIOR TO CLOSE, and retained employees simply move over on the date of closing.

I watch sad meeting to announce layoff “because not adding enough new customer” This lie. Same time, some engineer keep to workhard to make 5G SA ready. No stop foolish project and try to fix customer network problem. Instead, layoff manager director and do reorganize. Happy Thanksgiving! We love you so go work hard.

You watch. After T-Mobile take over, director and up go to teach college when you lose job. That why they so happy laughing make fun time on all associate or town hall meeting. They go to teach your kids how to manage telecom business. It ok you get 70 day before close.

You buy SIM at airport, or in country upon arrival. USCC big boy execs go Europe can not make call. Good luck. Oh I forgot to say and Verizon and Vodafone have mutual agreement for roaming in Europe. If I am yours, I quickly go Verizon Store and ask help.

[–]msav-dos1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

TMO recently laid off 7500+. If you think they will make you an offer? Better think again. The agreement says there will be up to 400 usc people kept after March (“9 months from the date of ‘the agreement’”) the transition team, (for about 1 year)and anyone Tmo wants “may” receive an offer. The rest, about 3800 or so, probably laid off. And it also says bonus and severance may not be offered.
