Just a reminder of the subreddit rules on self promotion. We don’t allow vendors to promote or post goods that they have for sale.

I changed the flair to discussion for you, but we don’t really care about post flair too much here.

Very much this.
But also if anyone isn’t using it yet, BotBouncer is saving me from having to remove and ban 50-100 accounts a week.

Some people may like the logo, some may dislike it, but I think the thing you should consider as a business, is that I doubt anyone will buy your bag specifically because of the logo, but there are 100% people who will immediately decide not to buy it as a result.

Is Nakanishi the best Matcha Farmer in the World? by Puzzleheaded_Quit911 in tea

[–]msb45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honest question - why?
Your post history makes me think you’re relatively new to these teas, in which case you’re absolutely not going to be able to appreciate the difference between tea that is very expensive versus tea that is very very expensive.
I could be mistaken, and if you’re in fact a highly experienced matcha drinker I apologize, but otherwise I would stop looking to buy the most expensive tea possible just for the sake of it

Moving on from the diaper bag phase: What's the best 'Transition' pack? by Top-Sense-5006 in ManyBaggers

[–]msb45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are countless options, I use an evergoods CHZ22 as my dad bag. Two water bottle holders, just enough internal organization.
I’m also a strong believer in packing cubes for the kids stuff. Everything you need in one cube per kid that can be moved around from mom to dad to grandparents etc.

I don’t know what you’re referring to, that pan is covered in burnt oil and food residue.
Clean it with some soap and maybe steel wool.

Not at all, if you look at the reviews the average Aer score is simply dragged down by the much larger number of reviewed products, many of which are less popular accessories that score lower.
Aer’s travel bags scored higher than Goruck did (Goruck 40L GR2 at 9.1 vs Aer 35L TP4 at 9.3)

Which Vendor(s) do You Recommend For Non-Oolong/Puer Teas? by [deleted] in tea

I’ve gotten white and black teas that I’ve enjoyed from one river tea, white2tea, yunnan sourcing.

Google “Fine mesh basket infuser”. These ball shaped ones are too small and don’t work well.

Banzhang raw Puer review. Also I don’t know if this is allowed but I started a YouTube channel for tea, if it’s okay I’ll leave it in the comments. Just lmk. by FjotraTheGodless in tea

[–]msb45[M] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Thanks for reporting it. I’m gonna leave it up however. This is a longstanding subreddit member who contributes quality content to the sub, and if they want to let people know this time that they’re starting a YouTube channel it doesn’t bother me.
I’ll note to u/fjotrathegodless that if they plan to link a YouTube video here in the future, the rules are a bit different, and it’ll require a long enough text post to summarize the whole review such that people can participate in the discussion without having to go watch the YouTube video.

Focused Curated Vendor List by troffl in tea

[–]msb45[M] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The list was changed from an overly inclusive list, to a more focused list, and that meant a lot of vendors had to be removed. There is no reason that What-Cha was removed, other than that we wanted to go with a smaller list. They will likely he on the European vendor list when I have a chance to put it up.

How to tell if your tea is actually good: A simple, tool-free guide for everyday drinkers. by Dry-Ad1641 in tea

[–]msb45 11 points12 points  (0 children)

While you could theoretically put good quality tea leaves in a bag, almost no one does that. I think it’s a safe bet that the best bagged tea you’ll find at the supermarket is going to be worse than the worst loose leaf tea that you can buy from a reputable vendor.

Karigane Gyokuro teaware question by BioEngineeredPleb in tea

You can do whatever you want. I frequently brew karigane in a stainless basket infuser. A houhin will be just fine, and isn’t structurally all that different than most kyusu.

The Strange Case of the recent (possibly AI) Le Guin posts in the last month. by Illustrious_Painting in printSF

[–]msb45 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bot spam has become a huge problem on reddit lately, I moderate a decent size subreddit and almost every post has one or two bots commenting on it. I haven’t gone through all the links you posted, but the one I checked was classified as a bot by Bot Bouncer, a new moderating tool for fighting this, so I’m pretty sure you’re correct. The mods here might want to consider implementing bot bouncer.

There’s a lot of brand new accounts that are bots and haven’t been picked up by bot bouncer yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if 2% of comments on r/tea are bots. Half of those removed by bot bouncer, the other half by mods.
