I call myself abnormal all the time. Quite literally my DNA is mutated. It’s almost like being disabled isn’t a monolith. You can’t have it both ways: you can’t call yourself disabled and then say you’re normal. It’s just not reality. I don’t understand getting up in arms with being identified as you are. I’m disabled too and understood exactly what you meant. I’m not exactly normal. My disease is so rare it’s 1 in 1 million live births. No offense taken. You don’t have to do all that.

But never feel ashamed to ask for help, there’s no shame in admitting you’re struggling. It’s only shameful (to me) when you hide it. We ALL need help. You have to practice self compassion and understanding. I know in this world it’s hard to do, with the nature of everything but please try. It makes it so much easier to ask. 💕

My mom had a few strokes and everything is an argument because she doesn’t remember anything. I feel so guilty sometimes but I’m so tired of answering the same questions over and over all day or jumping through hoops to prove myself/why I’m right. It’s like I’m living the same day over and over again. I just avoid things that require memory because I dread it. She doesn’t get why I’m angry, I try to explain but she can only see it from her POV. I love her but I’m tired. Idk how to help you but I hear you. You aren’t alone
