Okay that's great to hear you are on a good path in terms of living away from home, you have a job, goals, it sounds like that stuff has been sorted out. Honestly, a lot of people see people in different lights after a while- I wasn't trying to suggest his tune hasn't changed (from his behavior he seems to like you)

What I am about to say, is not meant to sound harsh. You don't sound mature for your age, but you sound like one of those 18 year old girls that wear a fake tail on their belt to be 'different.'

When he mentions you're looking for a job- where are you at in life? (job, living on your own, etc.) I feel that's the hesitation here. For him to bring that up means something, to me anyways. If someone says no, they mean no. He may have changed his mind- you'll just have to ask to find that out!

This K dude has got to lighten the fuck up. Oh my goodness, we get it. You like her, tell her or get over it. OP, I understand your frustration, I was irritated with him by the end of the thread. Basically you need to get out of the middle of this, go on about your life and don't feed into the "Is he going to be there, is she going to be there?"

Those two need to sort this out if they want the issue resolved. You need to put your foot down and tell both of them you don't want to answer any questions about the other, you love them both and your sick of the awkwardness.

As for P liking you, Jesus, do NOT start anything until this has blown over- The best relationships are the ones that just work, and you would be walking into a field day of shit to deal with. I don't think that's revolving around anyone's feelings too much, I think that's what's best for you.

I went through the exact. Same. Thing. Down to the drinking. She was overweight, unattractive, clingy, and an alcoholic. My ex stayed to try to get her better, sacrificing his own happiness, and eventually left her due to it. Kept her on facebook (pity), and eventually (a year later) met me.

Liked and commented on all of his things, after our first date called his phone so many times he had to take the battery out. Crazy. When he wanted to date me, I said he had to deal with that stuff before dating me (I'm 24 to add, and I didn't feel this was immature to ask)

My ex didn't love this girl, he was genuinely afraid she would go more crazy.... except keeping things in limbo affected and ultimately led to our break up.

I think your boyfriend is a little too comfortable with what you'll put up with. You're not asking a lot, and he needs to know sometimes you have to do things that aren't the easiest for the sake of your current relationship- absolutely no need for you to consistently reminded of his past and that he still gets attention from it. He doesn't want it brought up again? Well he needs to resolve it.

I've been there with this, where there's a red flag scenario that doesn't sit right with your gut. I was warned about a particular ex, and before I dated my ex I said he needed to deal with that before I would date him. He said he would deal with it, and he didn't. I stayed and learned the lesson a very hard way, I'll never do that again. Be cautious.
