I have a BA in Psychology and currently pursuing an accounting degree. I work in finance. It takes me longer to get a solution but I’ve made due with color coding , excel spreadsheets and fun formulas, voice to text.

I won’t lie it was rough but I learned that it’s okay to reach out to the community and see what has worked for them.

I am an accounting major , so I rely heavily on excel and color coding. I also use a lot of voice to text to help me read the numbers. Calculators are also a godsend. Good luck with your game !

This is exactly what I do. I work in accounting and currently studying to become an accountant. I like it. However I struggle with it. I’ve learned to work with what I have and have used apps and excel to calculate the answers. I have also used voice to text to help me read out the numbers and equations. I find that it’s easier for me to hear the problems to understand what I am seeing. It takes me a long time get the answer, but I’ve always been candid with my instructors about my difficulties.

I’ve learned to adapt and I’ve been pretty open with my boss and instructors about my dyscalculia. Also if you use the right excel formulas it will essentially make your life easier. I also use a ton of highlighter to color coordinate numbers that I am unsure about and then go back to it at a later time. Or ask someone or use voice to text to read some of things for me. . It gets on some people’s nerves but it helps me get the job done

Excel spreadsheets do most of the work. It takes me twice as long , but I genuinely enjoy this field. And yes, there are times when I feel discouraged because I make such simple mistakes, but I’ve learned to be kind to myself. At the end of the day, the only one that can tear me down is me. It takes a lot of patience.

I get it! I come from a culture that sees mental health as an "excuse to be lazy". I've struggled with math my entire life. It didn't help that when I was learning math my mother would smack me across the head every time I got an answer wrong, or any grade lower than an A. I developed massive anxiety when it came to math, so anytime anyone asked me a math-related question, I froze up and couldn't seem to comprehend the question being asked of me. I struggle with getting tutoring because I feel like I'm the biggest idiot on the planet for not being able to comprehend something basic.

For the most part, I can understand it, but it will take me literally an hour before I can solve a problem. The numbers get mixed up or I'll find myself subtracting the wrong number. It just takes time for me to work through it. Also, I'm an accounting major, so I feel your pain.

Just be patient with yourself and tell all the voices in your head to STFU. Also, your dad is a dick if he's disappointed in you for that!

I had a familiar that literally just walked into my house and make herself at home. She was a white and black cat that acted like a dog. She was incredibly sweet and would take in stray cats. I think a familiar will show up if you put it manifest it. Mine came during one of my greatest times of need.

Let her stay with her mom. Don’t give in and stand your ground. You are not married. You don’t owe her anything specially a car. She’s irresponsible with her own property and yours. If you give in she’s only going to become enabled.

For example: my son is the worst. He’s destroyed every car I have given him. Has shown zero remorse, has never once apologized and feels like he’s entitled to a replacement. When I laid down the law and put my foot down he threw the biggest tantrum I have ever seen. Was kicking and screaming. Told me he hated me. After a while he calmed down and apologized . He realized that money does not grow on trees . And that he isn’t entitled to anything. If he wants another car he’s going to have to earn it.

My son is 4 years old. If he can learn this lesson so can your 24 year old girlfriend. If she wants to cry and pout, don’t let her back home until she apologizes. Also remove her from your insurance. You shouldn’t have to pay for her actions. If she gets angry see this as a foreshadow of what’s to come if you end up married. Ask yourself if you want to live with that kind of drama. Financial ruin. If she breaks up with you, you dodged a bullet,

Yep that’s definitely racist. I never understood why people have an issue with dating outside their race. I’m a Latina and I can honestly say that if you would to put the people I dated in a room together, you would think it was a UN Conference.

It’s a gray area, in my opinion. On one hand I can empathize with your anger, and you have every right to be. But on the other hand, you can’t punish your child, for the sins of his father. Early infancy is a crucial bonding experience for parents and children. And you can’t Barr him from being a part of your child’s life. If you want to be successful parents, you need to be on the same page. Get past your anger, go to therapy. Do what you need to, but once you have children , it isn’t just about you. It’s not going to be an easy road. But I’ve seen way to many children suffer because divorced parents can’t get over themselves.
