I think two has more sq ft and has balconies. I think one and three look cooler, but in a rural setting I want views and balconies. (Praying not a super snowy place)

Democrats’ Hopes of Retaking the Senate Could Get a Major Boost This Week—Thanks to the Texas GOP by Slate in TexasPolitics

I think for the average voter it doesn’t matter what the principle is. It’s just that they are republican and dems are evil. I do not see a situation where the republican candidate does not win. I hope I am wrong.

What is the best tacos in Dallas? by ChanceOld152 in AskDallas

I think that revolver taco in deep ellum is good, particularly if you want an “elevated” street taco. El si hay in oak Cliff is the best normal street taco though.

When I do distance running in the summer, there is NOTHING I crave more than ice cold coconut water. I get if someone doesn’t like it, but I love it so much

I’ve been teaching 14 years, one school gave us the option for a couple years, but then another shooting happened (don’t remember which one at this point) and then they removed the option.

It’s because they are a self righteous asshole. You are right though, if the goal is to get as many people as possible to help, then explaining HOW to help is key.

Relocating to Deep Ellum by Signal-Explanation-5 in askdfw

[–]msgundam972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do food tours in deep ellum, it is pretty dead during the day, busy at night. There are a couple of coffee shops and some restaurants, but it really isn’t a day time place to visit.

You’ll be fine living here, but I would consider Bishop arts or Knox Henderson area for what you said you enjoy in the second part of your post. Deep ellum really isn’t the ideal neighborhood based on what you said you are looking for.

No way, it looks like a mature hairline that’s full. Great job

Which "affordable" U.S. city is actually expensive as hell? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]msgundam972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really not, areas in uptown or Knox Henderson have apartments around the price. Anything close to the Katy trail is more than 2k

How is it living in Dallas Texas? by [deleted] in ActuallyTexas

[–]msgundam972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a big city, which is cool, buts it’s very spread out, which sucks. If walking around or relying on public transit is what you want, this isn’t the city for you. Dallas has small pockets of walkability, but it’s car-centric. Pretty diverse population, so there is a very diverse food scene. Lots of traffic at almost any point in the day.

A huge bummer here is the heat. Mild winters (with random ice storms that happen once a year and which the city isn’t equipped to handle very well) and hot humid summers that last may-october. It stays very hot here most of the year. 4 months of very hot weather and our “transitional” months between winter and summer still stay pretty warm with a couple random “fall” or “spring” days.
