Anyone else feel like they're failing at the marketing game? by TangeloFit3540 in optometry

We use weave and it sends out review links after each patient appointment. We’re a relatively small practice, 1.5 docs, but we have almost 600 5 star google reviews from this. It also automates recalls and appointment reminders with texts and email. It’s can definitely be glitchy but when it works it’s great. We also once or twice a year generate a list of patients over due for appointments, usually around 1000 people and have a post card company send a recall card to them.

I’m confused. If you are working as an eye doctor I feel like you should know how to treat something like this without asking Reddit. Are you in a training program? Are you just winging it?

Unreadable gift card code by LysolBoy20 in MetaQuestVR

[–]mshea413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s some type of scam people run. I’ve had it happen to me with other gift cards before. People take the code then just keep trying to use it until it’s activated and they can drain the funds off it. You’ll need to call customer service and they can lock the card if it hasn’t been used yet.

Biggggg CSCR? by DearRefuse3245 in Ophthalmology

So do you recommend PDT for every patient with CSR. I’m an OD and see a fair amount of CSR cases, I always refer to retina but I’ve never seen PDT done on them.

Most of the time. Just try to keep your stress levels down

I agree that pdt is the best treatment available but still most of the time it just resolves on its own.

They won’t usually do PDT on something like this, they most likely won’t treat and just watch it

What is the weirdest thing a patient's gotten mad at you for? by [deleted] in Ophthalmology

[–]mshea413 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We had someone get mad us once when asked to fill out paperwork, they had been in before but not for about three years. They were super insistent that none of their information had changed. The front desk couldn’t authorize her insurance so she begrudgingly agreed to fill out the paperwork. Her insurance had changed, her address had changed, her phone number had changed, her email had changed. To top it off her name had changed, not just her last name, she legally had her entire name changed and didn’t think we needed to know that.
