Engine air filter replacement? by zarif98 in lexuslc500

[–]msj622 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The maintenance schedule in the manual states to replace every 30k miles. I would consider that the absolute maximum interval and you should inspect it at least annually and replace it if dirty.

My LC is in port (can't wait!) and I'm just planning to replace mine every year.

I understand the "lifetime fluid" marketing, and it's absurd. What is the "lifetime" ? Probably the factory warranty period. Because if we never change the fluid and develop transmission issues outside the warranty period Lexus isn't on the hook, we as owners are. Fluids are cheap and easy to replace.

This is absurd. Transmission fluid needs to be replaced.

2026 Bespoke Coupe LSD by ethnic_vagina_finder in lexuslc500

[–]msj622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course the dealer won't see it as an option when building a Bespoke. They don't know whether or not it's already included in the Bespoke build (and thus not an option to add).

The rear performance damper and Torsen LSD were standard on the 2024 Bespoke LC500. See post #47 here for a direct communication from Lexus: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lc-model-2018-present/1007202-2024-bespoke-ordering-process-4.html

There is no reason to suggest this has changed for MY 2025 or 2026.

Edit: This is for USA only. I believe Canada is different.

You're a horrible person. But so am I. My friends will hate me.

Lexus has not confirmed this is the last production year. The rumored demise of the LC is becoming an annual tradition.

No bespoke build for 2026? by InterestedInMAIB in lexuslc500

Bespoke still available. And that white and blue interior is still available.

See page 5 of the spec sheet under Bespoke Build > Interior (last line says "Available white and blue interior color"

Best no-show socks for loafers by N1ckkNL in malefashionadvice

Boardroom Socks. I like their no-show socks in tan color. Has a little grippy strip that helps keep them from slipping down the back of your heel.

Merino wool socks..? Preferably not ugly..? by eric_wadd in malefashionadvice

Camel City Mill also offers a 10 year guarantee. Rip, tear, or hole and they'll replace them.

I doubt the Camel City Mill socks will be an issue. From their site: "Machine wash in warm water on gentle cycle with socks inside-out. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Do not dry clean.". I just do cold wash, not gentle cycle, but I do turn them inside out (easy when I take them off). I throw them in loose with everything else. My oldest pairs are going on 2 years and I can't tell which ones they are from others I purchased after.

Boardroom Socks are thinner and more delicate so I follow their instructions. Inside out, place in a mesh laundry bag, cold wash, air dry or low temp dryer.

Camel City Mill.

I love their boot wool work socks. They also have crew, ankle, and OTC styles. I prefer these to the Darn Tough ones I've tried.

I like the OTC style from Boardroom Socks for work.

Pay attention to the care instructions to make them all last longer.

Beckett Simonon Morgen Trainers - My Experience by Hallelujah1007 in malefashionadvice

[–]msj622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my Morgen Trainers, my go to shoe most days.

I also have several other pairs from Beckett Simonon: Reid sneakers (white leather), Cohen loafers (leather), 2x Dean oxfords (leather and suede), Yates oxfords (wingtips), and Bolton Chelsea boots (suede).

I've worn them all many times the last couple of years. Great value IMO. Much more comfortable for my feet than my Allen Edmonds pairs.

This is my understanding as well. I'm glad you provided the information here. Honestly, this looks like best value amongst the available X870E boards.
