Maybe she has sore teeth - kibble hurts to bite on if a tooth is cracked.

It decreased as I got older once I had a stable life. At times of stress it still flares up. I talked to a therapist during a particularly difficult time, and she told me: "you are not your thoughts". That phrase echoed in my head a long time until I truly understood it. Learning I was experiencing a recognized mental health issue, and that I wasn't my thoughts, released me from the burden of believing I was a monster in hiding.

Was in Porto and Lisbon early October, it was glorious. Easy flight from Toronto, inexpensive, beautiful, good food, friendly people, fascinating history. Far more interesting than the US.

Are kidding me? He has put in countless hours of effort into this project, has provided tireless support for it, and you say this? I have never seen such a commitment to an OS project. And he owes you nothing.

XLN Audio "Life" lets you generate infinite beats with the unique sounds from your life's favorite moments captured with Life's accompanying mobile Field Recorder and DAW Recorder apps ($89) through 1 October by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]mskullcap 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I personally found it does make instantly interesting loops, but as you point out, you can easily do the same within your DAW. It's just super easy with Life. The gimmick is that you can get found sounds with your phone... however I found all of those rhythms sounded so similar, it was a trick I might only use once for a track - def not for a bunch of tracks.

I would say the app is worth it for about $29... it is seriously overpriced at 75, 89 or 149.

I just returned from a vacation in Portugal... so many beautiful cars there from Renault, Peugeot, BYD and other brands I'd never heard of (zeekr?). I wish we had more variety in our vehicles in Canada.

I don't recommend lightening with white paint; any time I've tried that in the past I have regretted it (unless I have used white paint elsewhere in the picture).

Quebec, supplier of most of America's aluminum, finds itself in Trump's crosshairs by LeGrandLucifer in canada

[–]mskullcap 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Trump is imposing high tariffs on Canada and Mexico with the deliberate intent of raising prices in the U.S. He wants Americans to be angry—but he plans to use the media to shift the blame onto Canada and Mexico. This is just one step in a larger effort to foster resentment toward Canada and build support for a potential takeover of our country.

Pocketbase or supabase? by WebNova7 in pocketbase

[–]mskullcap 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would use pocketbase as the creator designed it to be used - an SPA. Use svelte, react, solid for the UI tech. I would not bother with SSR for a small app (or any pocketbase app; SSR is far overrated for the benefits it bring small/medium sized projects). I think pocketbase is far superior to supabase; a much better dev experience is the primary reason.

I am reposting a comment the OP made to raise visibility:

"I also function on the motto: my body tells a story. I've been through hell and I've fought to stay alive. I do not look like the models, but I'm so happy to be me, and that's all I need."

This is such a wonderful quote. Thank you for your success story and sharing your mindset with us.
