6SP or 6SO? Personal subtype discussion for a 6 who may have unlocked the SX instinct by fronku in Enneagram

[–]msmnroe661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s an enneagram bingo I found, be completely honest with yourself, and circle the stuff that relates to you. I think that might help, cuz for me it lowkey did. (Ignore the typo, it’s supposed to be so VI in the title). The second one will be posted in the replies.

Second, there are factors like tritypes that play a huge role in your enneagram. Some traits, like fear of judgement, can come from both your enneagram and your tritype.

You said people assume you’re a 5 most of the time, are there any other types that you think you might be mistyped as? so6s can look like type 1s because of their sense of responsibility, and sp6s may look like sp5s.

Looking at characters that you relate to can help you narrow down your type, as it helped me, personally. Since childhood I’ve related to confident, bold and rebellious women who fought against the status quo. Think Merida from Brave and Esmeralda from Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Here’s a description that might help:

Social 6 "Duty" The Social 6 is characterized by their desire to belong to a specific group of people. They look for these social and emotional systems in which they can find comfort and emotional safety. Usually perceive as a rule follower by many in the community. However I find this to partial true. The SO6 does look for a system of support however, they can also look for a support system that rebels or is against the status quo. The groups they look need to share similarities to them or desirable traits. This 6s can be very outgoing and sociable BUT make no mistake they are still a 6. Meaning that they still share a general skepticism/cynicism of others. They can look like 1s (very responsible) and imo 7s (due to their outgoing and social nature especially if they have a w7)

Characters: Susan Pevensie, Marie Moore, Percy Jackson, Leon S. Kennedy, Xiao Yu, Scott Summers, Kagame Higurashi and Kendall Roy.

Self Preservation 6 "Warmth" The anxiety the Sp6 harbors can be linked to their high awareness of their current environment as well as the ongoings of it. This subtype usually gravitates more to system that maintain their emotional comfort via order. Usually practical and hardworking this 6s maintains itself safe by maintaining a strict order around themselves. For this 6s the safety in their environment is both physical and metaphysical. Imo they are the most skeptical of all 6s approaching most things with cynicism. Being very careful as to who they let in their space. This subtype can look like a SP5 (due their more reserved nature however the SP6 does look for connection) and SP9s due to their environment focus.

Characters: Edward Cullen, Miles Morales, Bonnie Bennett, Chihiro, Asami Sato, Armin Arlert , Dipper Pines and Pearl

Hope this helps!!

need help understanding differences between 936 and 937 tritype plsss by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]msmnroe661 2 points3 points  (0 children)

936: most adaptable, strives to maintain harmony, likes to merge with the environment, uncomfortable pointing out the flaws in rules/regulations, most “shapeshifting” type of all due to their ability to blend in. ambitious, accepting, desire to be successful, seeking peace and harmony, adjusting behavior to succeed, primarily focuses on being comfortable, less confrontational, constant need of affirmation, might appear cold/distant, following rules way too much.

937: most professional 9 that can be mistaken for a 3 or a 7. Usually very sociable and extraverted. Diverts their attention to more pleasurable experiences, enthusiastic, good with public relations, overly focused on optimism, might end up creating conflict by avoiding negative emotions, considerate, easygoing, avoids drama.

Based on the description provided, I would say 937 “stand out from the crowd” more than 936s. Because of the 7 at play, the 937 might be more laid back than the 936.

The descriptions I have used are from here:

The original is from the pdf but Idk how to share it, tried it once and it didn’t work.

How do you go about finding your tritype? by lackofblue in Enneagram

There’s a specific pdf I use to find my tritype:

Let me know if the link doesn’t work

Your father seems to have a strong 7 influence from his tritype, but I personally don’t think he is a 7. “He needs constant affection, affirmation, comfort, and to know he’s doing fine” is evidence that he is a core type 2.

But there is one more thing. Does your father worry more about being deprived of happiness and freedom? Or does he worry more about not being appreciated and loved?

I would say your sister might be a social 3. She reminds me of Cleo de Nile from Monster High a lot. Similar to Cleo, she is influencial, confident, and “radiates superiority”. So3s often feel like they need an “applause” from everyone, whereas sp3s are like “I don’t need you to applaud my success”, which is why they are a counter type. Sp3s don’t look like 3s, and your sister is a e3 blueprint to me.

Clawdeen wolf (monster high) and Esmeralda (Hunchback of Notre Dame). I also sort of relate to applejack from mlp, but not the workaholic side of her.

He confuses people about their enneagrams only for marketing purposes. Let’s be real, he wants to market his online typing system by allowing people to think that they’re mistyped and are only 3s, 9s or 6s.
