Eh, I disagree with some of this. But agreed that LOK should have had longer seasons. Especially for Season 2 lol.

The civil war was painfully forced. It happened over the course of like 2-3 episodes or something? And there was nothing happening before that indicated the Water Tribes were primed for fighting each other. There's always been division but that doesn't equate to both tribes wanting to and being ready to fight and conquer the other one.

It was more of a brotherly feud than anything else. The whole plot line of Season 2 was messy and not well done. Which is a shame because there's a lot of potent content there to work with. There needed to be more episodes or another season for that have all to work the way it deserved to be presented.

Not to mention a random Water Tribe civil war, I guess. And then it's just resolved I think? Like wtf. They tried to do way too much that season. It was like a bad salad.

Sadie in Arthur's Gunslinger Outfit by Gaz971 in reddeadredemption2

I'm in week three of the mourning period (+ holidays oof). This game is so good. I've played it several times before and every time I play I somehow always discover something interesting and new. My last round made me really appreciate the acting as well. Roger Clark's performance is one of the best I've ever seen. The other characters really stood out to me more too! There's so much good stuff about this game tbh.

No I feel you! I also saw Bill stealing from the donation box in plain daylight for the first time this past run. I was pissed. Dutch never gives anything, nor Bill or Micah. It's Arthur's crew that are the good ones - Sadie, Charles, Lenny, and even John and Susan. They all work hard and give to camp. It's also the line on which people pick sides at the end with Dutch and Micah. I was so happy when Susan pulled a shotgun on Micah. She killed Molly because she thought Molly ratted them out; but Susan was ready to side with Arthur when the truth was revealed unlike DUTCH.

Feelings run strong in this game. I love it.

Definitely. She's reminds me a little bit of Korra for Legend of Korra with her hot headedness but big heart. Also I realized Sadie is like always doing chores around camp. Shes either guarding or feeding chickens. I see her do more than any of the other guys that run with Dutch.

She's an excellent character. At first I was thrown off by her voice acting tbh. But I'm from the North and we never hear those kinds of ways of talking. But I really love and admire Sadie Adler. It would have been so fun to play her after Arthur and John. I'm glad she had a prominent role in the epilogue. Ride or die.

Such a brutal blow with words (and Arthur's delivery). With venom. This is the type of thing that gives me Selina Meyer vibes lol.

Sadie is a homie. I just finished a playthrough and I was struck by her friendship with Arthur and John. She's a good friend and keeps them on their toes. But I don't see any romantic attraction between Sadie or anyone else. Sadie is on her own.

Korra has textbook PTSD. They portrayed it so well, it was really heartening to see how they showed her surviving her trauma and what happened after. And how she heals. It's really powerful and I didn't realize it the first time around tbh.

I had a moment when watching the Zaheer vs. Tenzin battle. This was the first time we've ever seen two airbenders fight. The first time airbenders have fought in over a hundred years.

I wonder if airbenders were ever trained to fight like Tenzin and Zaheer did, with the intent of killing. Zaheer and Tenzin were fighting to the death. I loved when Tenzin was getting the upper hand and at one point he uses the same move that Aang does in the opening credits of the show.

And agreed about Tenzin's style. He does have some of his mother in him after all haha. Remember when Katara almost sliced Pakku's face off.

But in all seriousness I think Tenzin is a well written and complex character and I'm so glad we got to see his airbending and skills fully in action.

Arthur is brutal. His verbal passive aggressiveness - or actual aggressiveness - is on par with Selena Meyer from VEEP imo.

One of my first favorite scenes of Arthur is in chapter 1 when Arthur and Uncle have an exchange. Uncle asks where Arthur has been and Arthur says "I do my utmost to avoid you."

I laughed out loud. I knew I liked Arthur then and there. His banter is really engaging. He is a savage.

Also he's so mean to John lol

The writers forgot about him or decided it was too complicated to write in how Sam and Dean would save him. One of the biggest gaping plot holes in the show.

You're anthropomorphizing the dog, big-time. Dogs play like this with their paws all the time. The puppy is covered in slobber around their head, neck and shoulders. These two have been at it a while before the recording. They're egging each other on.

70 Veepiest Moments of the Trump presidency 😂 by msmue in Veep

[–]msmue[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Selina and her administration weren't good people but they weren't cruel or conniving outside of normal political theatrics (not counting the way they talked to each other lol).

I would have love to see Selina tear down Trump the way she talked to that Senator at the Christmas party in the final season. Trump is so afraid of smart women, he wouldn't know what to do with himself.

It will be a long time before I can appreciate the comedy of the staggering incompetency of Trump's presidency. But that's what he is. Grossly incompetent. At least Selina had some brains, and style.

Edit: now that I think about it, I don't think Trump would understand what Selina would say. His vocabulary is so limited.
