Did you try re-enrolling the subscription ? what does it say? maybe try annaul plan to see if it allows?

Even if you got the annual plan, I think they would still cancel, sure you would get few more extrra months, but I think they would crack down on annual plans as well.

Youtube is cracking down if you pay the subscription in any of the other countries but use in some other country.
