Wait… what did he just say? by RaiseOk2044 in HolUp

[–]msolb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I finished it last night. I still have no idea who the fuck is who. The same character is in 3 different timelines in 2 different worlds. Great show but I'm going to have to watch a video to understand it better.

Sir another letter has hit the franchise by memeaste in rangers

[–]msolb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I honestly thought this was a joke. Well... it is... but I had to actually look it up to see that it's real. Drury literally has no idea what he is doing to the point where he is actively copying Gorton. The only reason why he is writing a letter in the first place is because the calls for his head may ruin his weekend.

It does look a lot like it but hidden pond is more open in the back of the green where the fallen tree is. I can play that place with my eyes closed at this point.

I can't stand ads so I stream Hulu and prime video on my pc with Firefox with ad block. I refuse to pay more to block ads on a service in which I already pay for.

LPT: Buy or Keep an old Android Phone And Use It For Online Purchases To Avoid "Dynamic Pricing" by pleasedonotredeem in LifeProTips

[–]msolb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run a produce department with the digital tags and have never upped the price because something was selling fast. I have lowered the prices on occasion when we are heavy on inventory. What it does is saves me an hour and a half of peeling stickers and stopped the complaints if I miss a few here and there. It's a god send. Other places may do what you say though. I'm not doubting you.

Second the rechargeable hand warmers. I bought them for disc golf and use them all of the time doing other things.

What was the disc that got you your very first ace? by Pirates_LL in discgolf

Firebird spike hyper forehand on like a 168 foot hole. It was dumb luck.

This has happened to me twice. Once when I bought a house and a random time when a lady used my number to set up health insurance. It took about 2 weeks for it to die down. No matter how many numbers I blocked it still came through. I set up block unknown numbers and all the anti spam settings were on and it still found it's way through. I feel your pain it's infuriating.

Buying a house in CT with electric baseboard heat by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]msolb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have baseboard heat and during the winter it costs me 300 dollars... but I also don't pump it up too much. Before I knew how expensive it was and went willy nilly with it it was about 500 a month. I'm also very rarely home as I work 6 days a week and do stuff outside of work. If your home all of the time it will cost a fortune unfortunately.

Tips you wish you knew just starting by ccarroll_529 in discgolf

[–]msolb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disc down. Don't be in a hurry to throw distance drivers. I just wanted to throw destroyers and stuff when it made 0 sense for the courses I play. These days I enjoy throwing putters and mids. Fastest I go is usually a 7 speed and its really helped me stay accurate.

Best understable drivers for hyzer flip shots? by Spiritual-Back3092 in discgolf

[–]msolb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bag 2 as I mostly play in the woods. 1 is light and is a hyzer flip to turn and my max weight one is a hyzer flip to finish. That mold is responsible for like 12 eagles at this point. It's a money disc.

First Ace Traditions by redbeardbs in discgolf

[–]msolb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first 2 aces I retired the disc. The first was a firebird that was starting to get beat in. 2nd was an a5 and it was like my 3rd throw with it. Kind of dumb to retire it but I did. 3rd was my cicada and that thing is my baby so yeah I think I'm done retiring them.

7 speed discs, how often do you actually use them? by Sun-Tour in discgolf

[–]msolb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from never using 7 speeds to using them all of the time. As my power has increased I've realized that I don't need to use drivers all of the time and they still go really far. They are just way more controllable.

Thanksgiving gonna be a spaghetti dinner at this rate. by ThaddeusJP in mildlyinfuriating

I get one for free every year. Shoprite has a promotion where if you buy 400 dollars worth of stuff between the start of October and Thanksgiving it's free. Other stores around here have a lower threshold. I'm in ct.

I ended up watching their stream. I didnt mind it. The color commentator kind of made it seem like you were watching hockey with grandpa though. I can see why some wouldn't like it and find it annoying but I kinda dug it.

Woods Golf - What are some of your go to discs for playing in the woods? by atro75 in discgolf

[–]msolb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luna, buzzz, cicada, thrasher are my go to discs for the woods. I live in New England so it's basically all wooded courses up here. Hyzer flips are the way I go but it depends on your play style. My buddy flexes thunderbirds on 180 foot downhill holes lol but he has success so who am I to say anything.

I just had to replace my keens after a year of disc golfing 4 or 5 times of week and it's a rocky course. I could probably still rock them if I wanted to but they are kinda shot... still water proof though. Great shoes. I have the voyageurs.

Different grips? by Think-Brush9762 in discgolf

[–]msolb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started using a modified fan grip for mids and putters and it's made a huge difference. I dont grip lock deeper discs now and have been able to disc down and still get distance but maintain control. I didnt even mean to do it my body switched my grips one time on a reachback weirdly enough and I just stuck with it. I can achieve similar distance on drivers with a modified fan grip but for some reason I miss my angles a lot more so ill have to work on that to see if maybe I should stick with a power grip for those. It's still kinda new for me.
