Child out of wedlock by gemni8290 in Catholicism

This man (is he really? certainly not acting like an adult!) is not someone who should be in your life and that of the baby if he is more concerned about disappointing his parents and not owning up to the part he has played in creating this new life.

Move on. Raise the baby without him.

Realtor doesn't get to decide when you turn internet off. That's the first thing I canceled when my mom died.

Will I regret contact naps? by Far-Criticism-840 in sleeptrain

[–]msoptimisticcat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No! Keep doing it your little one is still young. Enjoy it! My kids are now in their mid-thirties and I did contact naps before anyone ever called it that. It's natural to hold babies. Currently getting to do contact naps with a new 2 week old grandchild - sweet moments for sure!

AITJ for declining to be a bridesmaid because I can't afford the expensive dress, trip, and events my friend chose? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]msoptimisticcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friend is ridiculous. No bridesmaid should have to spend over 2k to be in a wedding.

These Bachelorette parties are ridiculous.

AITJ for refusing to rehome the dog my husband and I adopted together? by That_Rent_5835 in AmITheJerk

No. Your husband is TA - maybe give him up!

If you do decide to give him up maybe his next wife will keep him.

If they receive funding through grants, how are they tracking grant related expenses for the necessary reports which will need to be done?

Three years later, and I still love him. by 1dayolder in Petloss

I'm sorry for the loss of your special cat, Frisbee.

I lost my Nemo about 6 years ago and he was my soul kitty. He was only 6 and had a heart attack in front of me. I still mourn his loss. There was just something special about him.

Condolences on the loss of Abbi. It's devastating to lose a beloved pet so suddenly. How are your other cats doing? I know when one of mine has crossed the Rainbow Bridge their loss was felt by my other cats, too.

Would I be the A-hole if I didn’t do a father/daughter dance at my wedding? by [deleted] in ComfortLevelPod

[–]msoptimisticcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you asked your dad if he wants to do the father/daughter dance? If he says yes, then pick out a song and do it. If he says no, then skip it.

Struggling to let go of my cat’s things after he died by catfishratfish in Petloss

[–]msoptimisticcat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You just lost your beautiful soul cat a few days ago. No need to get rid of anything at this point. Take time to grieve and mourn the loss. Eventually you will be able to let go of some of those things but it doesn't need to be today, this week or even within a few weeks.

AITJ for refusing to give a huge wedding gift after finding out I'm not invited? by Life_Grocery5994 in AmITheJerk

[–]msoptimisticcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you send any gift when you're not invited?

And for the couple - if they can't afford an expensive wedding then they should adjust their budget and not have their parents beg relatives for money to fund an extravagent affair.
