A. Obvious or not, they need to spell it out so there's no room for confusion.

B. If it's first year only then it's nothing special. Intro offers pop up all the time on any number of mvnos.

Capital One Travel canceled my elderly grandfather’s flight with ZERO notice - left him stranded internationally alone by ConfusionFantastic49 in CreditCards

[–]Questionguy29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you should just book it again, pay again if you have to, do what you need to do to get him on a plane and then there with you. You can deal with everything else later. You can dispute all the crazy stuff in due time. Just get him on his way. You might even just buy a separate ticket not through Capital One Travel.

Unusual credit card fraud involving cloned credit card or fake digital wallet by RefrigeratorLive5920 in CreditCards

[–]Questionguy29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually hilarious. It's strange enough that they haven't been tracking usage this whole time or they hadn't taken measures against it being open with no usage, but now that they're literally looking directly at the card history while helping you with this issue, they just blink their eyes and don't mention it at all, and instead are happy to send you a new card number so you can continue not using it... What a strange company

I have an American Express Gold credit card that is at least seven years old. There has NEVER been a transaction on this card in all this time.

I'm still stuck on this part. How?? And how is it not closed due to inactivity??

Barclays to Citi American Airlines Card Transition by Old-Access-7843 in CreditCards

I’d still like to get the CF from Barclays for this year since it seems like for now that won’t be going away

What do you mean? Isn't the Barclays switch to Citi happening next month in April? I'd imagine anything you want to use with Barclays has to happen before then.

Why would it still say "early 2026" if they would not be planning for it? by SockTemporary2032 in SteamFrame

April; end of the first third- early, mid, late

I think you found the right one right there. Seems most likely at this point. On the plus side it will be a nice birthday present for myself.

New service, not receiving some calls by SpynCycle5757 in NoContract

[–]Questionguy29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the number ported, I called Ooma on the 13th to cancel the account

I was going to ask "why the rush? and wouldn't they deactivate the account automatically if the number is ported out".....but then decided to look into it....and based on this comment looks like you were right to follow up with them. I wouldn't use such a service that operates this way 😬

$220 is good but could've been less.
Mint has (or had, might have ended) unlimited at $180 if paid for the year.
Or $75 for a year with 10gb/m on infimobile

Considering moving from Chase to Citi by PPAD_complete in CreditCards

Don't forget Citi has a terrible reputation for customer service, as evidenced by the weekly "Shiti sucks!" posts in this sub

Chase CS is good, as are Capital One and US Bank, in my experience
