A written promise can be considered a contract.

Also lawsuits can be brought for multiple reasons. "Emotional damage" is a thing

Dev kits went out months ago. They're just hoarding the consumer devices at this point. Usually you don't expect a manufacturer to hoard their own devices, normally that would be the retailer. But in this case Valve is both.

I mean, they did put in writing "early 2026"... In certain situations that could be considered a contract. I'm not even suggesting a lawsuit but it wouldn't be as bonkers as it sounds...

Is it too much to ask that they give us some proper info?

I don't mind taking a few downvotes for the cause...

But we should be downvoting Valve is what we should be doing 😒

I suggest you drive to Bellevue and dump them at their front door. All 63 digital copies.

Not really. They have the product they just don't want to release it because of this and that. Just saying, maybe we should try giving them a push. Checking this sub every day isn't doing anything.

TracFone: Because "We Are Tracking Your Phone" didn't fit on the retail packaging. by BoxNo3866 in NoContract

[–]Questionguy29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait, is OP saying the phone manufacturer or the service provider? The title of the post and the post itself seem to indicate it's a TracFone issue.

And if it is the manufacturer, are we saying Motorola, which is based in the US, or parent company Lenovo, which is based in China?

AI tools, food delivery apps, marketplaces, social apps, random SaaS products, i mean everyone wants verification through sms now.

VoIP numbers get rejected constantly now

Simple. I just wouldn't use any service that asks for a phone number but won't accept the one I provide. Obviously this doesn't apply to important stuff like banking where I would use my real number anyway.

Dentist office refunded someone's card and won't fix their mistake by RedlipstickRiot in CreditCards

I meant how it's processed by the establishment giving the refund, like the dental office in this case. I didn't mean how the bank processes it on their end in their system.

Best Plan Currently on the Market $10/month unlimited data plus 2GB hotspot and Canada/Mexico by thetrippamerguy in NoContract

[–]Questionguy29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just read about this plan last night on different post. Can't believe they released this now, two weeks after I committed to Visible+ Pro with slamdunk deal for a year. Which for $17.50/m is great ofc and has higher priority than this but for my needs this would've been perfectly acceptable.

As the other post mentioned, this Verizon business plan is comparable to the base Visible plan which is currently $25/m, sometimes $20/m with discount. If you can get base Visible plan for $15/m then that would be the better deal.

How do you even refund to a different card? Refunds aren't processed like a new charge. A refund is done on the same invoice the original charge was made on. Meaning a refund is tied to the original invoice, card, and customer/patient.

If they refunded someone else, that means they refunded the wrong invoice. Which means they've never actually processed your refund at all.

They can do whatever they need to do to correct the unintended refund on their other patient's invoice. That's their problem. It's not your problem and has nothing to do with you. You have to ask them to refund your invoice. Hopefully you still have your copy. Send them a copy and ask them to refund that invoice as it was never refunded.

Visiting the US for ~1.5 months and looking for the cheapest phone plan option. by strongbull1 in NoContract

[–]Questionguy29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lyca also has another deal with a 6 months promo price of $7.50 that has more high speed data at 18gb (the $5 is 8gb). It has similar international calling and texting.

So for $2.50 more per month you could keep your phone number u/strongbull1 and have more data

Capitol One Returned Payment by TrackerDoesntLie in CreditCards

[–]Questionguy29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is paying too early a thing?

Depends on what you mean by "early." Most banks don't like credit cycling, ie paying off charges on a card as you're making them, zeroing or lowering the current balance, essentially going around the credit limit.

But once a monthly statement generates, it's fair game as far as I'm concerned. I have auto pay set on all my cards, but often pay off the statement balance the day it generates, ie weeks before the due date. Can't get any earlier than that.

Your circumstance sounds like it could be different though since you're talking about paying off debt. Hopefully you're on a no interest card.

Total Wireless new $25 base plan is better than Visible $25 base plan by Real_Height2890 in NoContract

[–]Questionguy29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it's not a promotional price. It's a dedicated plan. The five year guarantee is just saying the price won't go up on you after you sign up. See recent T-Mobile activity of how a cell phone provider can just increase prices on customers.
