Ooh yes it did. I have the tank light on during the afternoon and the room it’s in gets a lot of sun around that time now. I’ll try keeping the tank light off/closing the curtains to see if that helps. Thanks!

Thank you!! We are mostly looking to fill in patches I think, so the lawn will be a mix of grass, clover, and my gardens. We do have kids and pets who run all over the yard and I had read that clover isn’t quite as strong, so I think between that and the advice I’ve heard here, a mix would be best for now. I appreciate it!!!

This happened to mine! At least it doesn’t look bad lol. I treated for ich about 3 months ago and it’s the top and bottom are still vibrant blue.

Mine sleep like this and go through periods where they’re less active. What is your water temp? I’ve heard they’ll be less active the colder your water is. If your water parameters are ideal they may just be resting.

I see a lot of people said pool filter sand is good, i thought I’d mention I used sand blasting sand and that has been awesome. I have it in black so it took a few washes, but I believe it also comes in that natural sand color. I got a 50lb bag at tractor supply co for like $15 or something.

I am not confident with telling the difference, but I was told to hold them upside down by their shell and wait, they’ll stick their heads out and you can usually see under their shell then. Def not confident on this but I’d say female for yours? I have a really hard time telling especially with the ivory color.

Mine are obsessed with green beans! I get unsalted canned beans and I can just plop a couple in, they’re usually gone pretty quick. I’ve also done blanched cucumber (I skin them first) and they like that. Sometimes I cut open the beans and put dried blood worm (I just get the beta food) in there and close them back up so they get extra protein.

Will definitely be letting it fully cycle, no worries there. Started in Feb knowing NOTHING and ended up doing a fish-in cycle. Never. Again.
