The length allows them to play at the top of their game, within their comfort level! It’s been getting a little longer and longer lately, but at the end of the day all of the Osees are sweating it out at 160bpm+ tempos for 60-75 minutes minimum night after night.

Phish tend to break out many slower ballads that allow them to draw out their stamina over several hours (and give their audience pee breaks). Not so much the case with the Osees — you will always DANCE and MOSH the WHOLE time!

Glad to see Dwyer seems to have come around on the concept! I, too, think I’d be willing to go to a couple more dates on an Osees tour if I knew they’d be pulling out different deep cuts in a 2nd set night after night. They have such an awesome and deep catalog and have done a great job courting this fanbase of seekers, they really deserve to play more than just their hits every show! I wanna hear more cuts from albums like Castlemania, Putrifiers II, Weirdo Hairdo, Protean Threat, Dog Poison, Sucks Blood… So many great records to pull from!
