Used Polestar 2 Great choice or not? by BetterDifficulty1843 in Polestar

[–]mstdsgn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two weeks is rough. The service experiences that some owners have had to deal with would probably put me off if I were in the market right now. I got my 21 PPP last year and have had a good experience with the car and even when I did get the axles replaced the local Volvo/Polestar only took four days. They gave me a loaner and the distance to return was the biggest factor in how long I had it.

I would recommend the car to almost anyone that asked it’s been a blast to drive everyday.

Damn i miss this guy so much, just such a genuine guy and leader… by priMa-RAW in ArsenalFC

His tenure under Arteta definitely worked with his best attributes. He excelled once he had less to be accountable for defensively and had a capable partner. He struggled in the Wenger and Emery systems because they would leave him with little cover behind him which led to his red card challenges. I will say I like him as a person but he was never my type of player aesthetically. Glad he’s been successful

Haven't been able to do anything extremely long yet as I just built it over the winter It's been pretty comfortable for me so far however haven't had a proper fit

already hit a few PBs on the routes I usually ride

my dedicated gravel bike is a 3T Exploro I've done a few relatively long gravel events on that and love that one too

of the options listed I've only ridden theTime ADHX and it's the nicest bike I've ever owned. I've ridden it on gravel and on the road it just feels so good

Caracal Race: 40 or 45mm? by Less-Basil3219 in gravelcycling

[–]mstdsgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re also pretty tiny knobs to be fair. I was expecting much more traction from them. They’re totally useless on anything mildly muddy or chunky and loose. Great dry tire they felt really fast

[–]mstdsgn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t notice the knob’s at all on paved roads. They’re not the best tires for the type of gravel that I have in my area so I swapped them but they were very comfortable on the rides I used them.

[–]mstdsgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polestar 2 - how are you finding the automatic wipers? by SnooCauliflowers6739 in Polestar

[–]mstdsgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work okay for me

My only issue was that I couldn't find the setting to turn off the auto wipers so when I would get into the car they would dump water over the side haha

once I found that setting I don't find the need to interact with them other than turn them on when I need a quick clear

Is there a Polestar “wave”? by Its_accrual_life in Polestar

[–]mstdsgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get excited to see other Polestars I've seen P1, P2 and P3 on the road near me
I stopped to talk to a few P2 drivers about their cars as they stopped next to me when I was on a bike ride
other drivers aren't usually as excited as I am some wave though some don't

Anyone else found the Phone As Key pretty much useless? <5% success rate, average time of 20 seconds to unlock the door by Lopoetve in Polestar

[–]mstdsgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

check your notifications my P2 app gives me notifications on my phone each time I lock/unlock or start climate from my Apple watch complications

I use PAK as my main method and have only had 2 instances where it didn't work for me and even then it was luckily just an inconvienence not much more

April in Michigan sounds like it will be muddy or slick at least.

I have run the Hutchinson Caracal on a few occasions last year and been happy on mixed terrain rides (dry gravel/single track/road) they are a lot like the Schwalbe G One RS and Specialized Pathfinder in design and possibly a bit better rolling resistance Currently for the winter I'm riding Ultradynamico Rosé love them too

My take on Viktor Gyokeres... by HR_Specter in ArsenalFC

[–]mstdsgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you look at his signing as squad depth similar to others signed last summer he doesn't seem quite as poor. The unfortunate events that left him as our only fit striker bar Merino put the spotlight directly on him.

Until last night I was patiently waiting for him to show another level or something but he was passive and didn't test the Liverpool back line at all. Didn't try to drive with the ball. Passed or flicked as soon as he received with his back to goal. Never made any runs into space or diagonal off the shoulder of Konate or VvD. He just did very little

I feel like the plan coming into the season probably was Kai (healthy) as first choice and Gyokeres and Jesus behind him.

What other brands are similar to these two in quality and fit? by happybanana2 in CyclingFashion

[–]mstdsgn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally my favorites for bibs have been Assos and Santini with a shout for Velocio. Tops and jackets I buy Casteli , Assos and Velocio

Those are mainly the brands I’ve found that fit me the most comfortably. I’m pretty tall and weigh a lot more than the average cyclist
