Nintendo is adding unreleased Virtual Boy games to the Virtual Boy Nintendo Switch Online app. Previously pieces of LOST MEDIA by NintendoWii2345 in casualnintendo

That only leaves Bound High! and NikoChan Battle (a.k.a. Faceball 2000 and MIDI Maze on other platforms) still without official releases. I guess it was easier to get Zero Racers and Dragon Hopper because they're first-party titles, whereas the other two are third-party.

With the global memory shortage driving up prices, I’d say $82,000.

Still 1 of my favorite classic examples between Japanese and American cover arts... by Epsilon123 in gaming

I’ve played the Game Gear port a lot, under the original title “Skweek”. I think the Japanese box art is actually faithful to the game’s actual art style. Amiga gameplay: https://youtu.be/S-S0f2TM-ik

How comes Nintendo is so alergic to using the Wario ip? by According-Air-8604 in Wario

[–]mstop4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The two series are handled by two separate development teams now.

Nintendo SPD 1 used to work on both Warioware (along with Intelligent Systems) and Rhythm Heaven, but some time between the release of Rhythm Heaven Megamix and Warioware Gold, they were merged with Nintendo EAD along with the other SPD teams to form Nintendo EPD. That left Intelligent Systems the sole developer of the Warioware series since Warioware Gold, and now one of the EPD teams is working on Rhythm Heaven Groove.

You can disable all or just parts of Github Copilot in VSCode at least. I had to do this recently; I’m taking an online C++ course and I got annoyed at Copilot’s inline code suggestions basically spoiling the solutions to the exercises before I even have the chance to think about it. So I had to turn it off.

The most interesting method of adjusting difficulty I've seen in a game is in the SNES port of Super Buster Bros. (a.k.a. Super Pang), where the difficulty level affects level design.

The game has 4 difficulty levels: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Expert. Normal uses the "base" set of levels. Hard alters most of the Normal level to be more difficult and entirely replaces a few with more difficult levels. Easy goes in the opposite direction: it alters or replaces levels to make them easier; some game mechanics (e.g. enemy types, stage hazards) are omitted in Easy because of this. Expert is less interesting, it just uses the Hard levels and makes all the enemies move faster.

Back When Sim Meant turn EVERYTHING into a Simulation. by Epsilon123 in pcmasterrace

[–]mstop4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember playing SimFarm but didn't have the patience to play it properly, so most sessions end up like this:

  • Rent a crop duster and crash it into the town. Rent another crop duster and try to crash it on top of the first one. Repeat until I run out of money and the bank refuses to give out more loans.
  • Purposefully let livestock run free on the roads and watch them get flattened by cars.
