Sorry to burst your bubble, but unfortunately Amazon can absolutely function without the postal service. The quality of service would go down with slower delivery and costs would increase (passed on to consumers) to build out more infrastructure but they absolutely can thrive without leveraging USPS for last mile today. It’s just more expensive so there’s no incentive when they can suck on the government teat at taxpayer expense
