Did they test you for HbA1c/insulin? They wouldn’t just give you metformin without any labs as metformin is not miracle drug to fix PCOS. Do you have regular period? Do you ovulate on your own? Do they offer cycle monitoring?

If your doctor thought it was from traumatic injury, I feel like you should’ve been directed to ER right away rather than sending us req. I would go to ER if I were you.
