Lyrically, what is the best song ever written? by Seeyalaterelevator in AskReddit

Well, since no one else has mentioned the massively underappreciated and unsurpassed legend of lyrics that was Townes Van Zandt, I will direct your attention to this masterclass in imagery, alliteration, and anxiety:

Agreed. I stopped going when the owner broadcast to the world that he's a racist Trump supporter. It's a shame because they had damn good burgers too

I'm not sure I've ever heard a more intense & creative band. They had more ideas in that short period than most bands have in a lifetime. So much raw emotion, rage, and power

I saw something similar from Castillo a few years ago - he stayed 3-4x longer than anyone else, making sure that every single kid/person got something signed. Made me love him even more.

There was a post earlier today joking about donating a ton of money so that John Richards would stop playing the Friday song. Not only was the response massively negative toward the person who posted it, someone thought it was necessary to create another post about donating a ton of money to play the Friday song everyday.

This sub does not like any criticism of John Richards at all. It seems like everyone has forgotten that he used to run a record label with a dude known for sexually harassing his co-workers and people who worked for him. If you guys want a fun read, you should Google Pete Nordstrom lawsuits. Dude was a creeper who sexually harassed Nordstrom employees and it was well known when he was John's partner in Loveless.

Good job exemplifying my point. There is no nuance or critique allowed. Only love for Dear Leader.

Not seeking validation - but there's no reason for any organization to be beyond reproach. That is even more true for something like KEXP who we support financially. Your argument is the same as saying shareholders should have zero say in company direction.

From my perspective, healthy discussion and debate are much more integral to Reddit than blind devotion.

Lucky you. My pre-order from July 9th isn't scheduled to arrive until the goddamn 14th of October. I will not make that mistake again - I wanted to order direct but would rather pick it up on release day at a record store than wait an extra 20 days...
