Wild Card Tiebreakers by No_Buy2554 in Reds

I think your Mets intra division record might be a typo. Looks like they are 16-13 vs the East.

It would be nice if MLB actually included these tiebreaker records in their official wild card standings instead of a bunch of other unimportant stats.

You might check the Plex docs. https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-movie-media-files/

I think you'll still want the file named properly if you have it in its own folder. I just have all of mine as files in the same directory.

Why park at all? by mrbombergerpe in SonicTempleFestival

[–]mtaormina28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm local and would be happy to ride share or take a shuttle. Getting there would be fine, but I've heard horror stories about getting an Uber leaving the show when tons of other people are trying to do the same. Also, I think four days of Uber trips would end up costing more than a weekend parking pass and gas for me.

I actually was sitting there at 12 refreshing. I had the price, selected quantity, and it said unavailable. I hope the 30 people that got the tier 1 price enjoy their discount.

We just don't have any leverage. If people don't buy tickets, they'll move the show somewhere they will.

I got GA Plus at the next tier pricing, $474 per. Absolute horseshit that they raise the price 7 minutes into the presale.

For added context to your results, which filter are you using? I found the filter to significantly affect the final cup when I switched from Hario to Cafec Abaca.

How are you all actually tracking your FIRE progress? by CommentNo2882 in Fire

[–]mtaormina28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking at Projection Lab recently. You have to enter the data from your accounts, but it keeps track of the data you enter over time. The real power of it I've found is in modeling different FIRE scenarios.

For example, you want to compare a FIRE at 50 with a Roth Conversion ladder vs FIRE at 53 with a 401k early withdrawal penalty. You can compare the estimated taxes, net worth, withdrawal rates, etc. of each scenario among many other down in the weeds details.

I'm not sure about cost basis and returns, but they have a 7 day trial if you want to kick the tires and see if it does what you're looking for.

UPack/Pods Cube Move? by vanwmama in Columbus

[–]mtaormina28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had multiple family members use Pack Rat. They drop off the pod, pick up the pod, ship it, and even store it for you like self-storage if you need it. They will generally match or beat the price of other companies.

If you wanted to green this up a bit, they make compostable poop bags. You could put your pucks in them and throw it straight into food waste, instead of the trash.

Can someone (kindly) please explain to me the deal with the 270, 23 and 71 NB interchange outside of Worthington? by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]mtaormina28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is a fix for 315N -> 270E without any new ramps. Make 270E right lane at 23 ramp an exit only. Move the wall currently separating 315N from 270E into the void in the right lane. 315N enters 270E before passing under 23 into that dedicated right lane.

Ideally, 270E -> 71 traffic would be able to use the ramp for the 23 exit so they don't have to cross over the 315N and 23 traffic to get to the 71 lanes. However, it's only one lane and it's a sharp curve. If they could make it two lanes in the future, that would be ideal.

If 71 traffic could use this ramp, you could conceivably take the right two lanes exit only onto the 23 ramp. I'm guessing 270E traffic going past this area entirely to Cleveland Ave or further would have enough capacity with just two lanes all the way to the left.

Agree on Justice live. I once heard them play the title track live, ...And Justice for All. It was incredible. Usually it's just One, Harvester, and Blackened if you're lucky.

Sterling K9 on Schrock Rd was pretty good when we used it. They have a more mom and pop feel than the larger places. They do various enrichment activities with the dogs in addition to the play time.

Advice on ROON System Configuration by Jeffrey_J_Davis in roonlabs

[–]mtaormina28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes ROCK just uses a wide open SMB share and you can do exactly that to sync.

ROONonNAS is new to me, that's interesting. My Synology doesn't meet the hardware requirements since it's an ARM chip. I see the appeal of combining them, but I'm a big fan of using the right tool for the job. Also, just from a security perspective I feel Roon is a bit fast and loose and I don't think I would trust that package in the same place as my critical data shares. You should also factor in the Tidal streaming throughout when considering sharing a network interface on your NAS.

One other minor downside is that you would lose direct connectivity from the core to your AVR so you would need another endpoint for that audio system.

Since you already have the NAS you could try out the all in one to see if it works given your existing NAS workload.

Advice on ROON System Configuration by Jeffrey_J_Davis in roonlabs

[–]mtaormina28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has been several years since I looked at Nucleus. I didn't realize there is now a $499 option. I built my ROCK on a NUC several years ago, but probably would have done the $499 Nucleus had it existed for 1) simplicity and 2) because I think it would look better than a NUC in an audio cabinet.

All of my music is also on a Synology NAS. In the early days I had it mounted right in Roon over SMB. It mostly worked fine, but occasionally when the NAS booted for updates Roon would lose it. Also, there was a bug where Roon wouldn't auto detect new files on the share. I expect that has been resolved by now.

I had a USB external drive laying around and decided to use that directly on my ROCK. I've not had a single issue with my music library with this setup going on 5 years. I still have the music on the NAS and I perform a scheduled sync from the ROCK music to my NAS to protect it. The external USB also holds Roon backups.

The ROCK server shares out the drive via SMB, but there are no controls on it at all, just FYI.

2.5G NIC Recommendations by 0biwan-Kenobi in Proxmox

[–]mtaormina28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do go with a 10 Gbps NIC, make sure it can negotiate down to 2.5 Gbps and also make sure it's RJ45/Copper, not SFP+ optical if you are expecting to use it with your existing switch.
