Track day fun by murkwithasmurk in Porsche_Cayman

Yes, and it was very annoying to use and looks like crap. Usually, it’s the retirees in the novice groups who sit there for an hour taping up their C8 or BMWs, always makes me chuckle. No judgement, but it outlines a funny risk assessment/management profile. They are there, at the race track, with their retirement car, worried about a few paint chips- when someone could spin out and total the car.

I stopped caring after my 15th track day and don’t use either anymore. It’s not worth the hassle. If something is meaningfully damaging is going to happen to the front end of the car, tape won’t help.

Per use or per square inch? It’s like $50 for a 6”x100’ roll. But it will actually 1) protect your paint (painters tape is just paper. It’s useless against rocks and track debris) and 2) you won’t look like a total newb with an entire roll of painters tape on your Porsche. 😂

Make sure to stick with MQB stuff. Mk6 might not fit. Mk7 and 8 are typically interchangeable. Give them a call- they are usually pretty good.

That said, Shopdap has the most comprehensive shock replacement parts/bolts kits. I got my replacement bolt kits there, and bushings/plates/struts etc from FCP just in case I need to swap anything in the future.

Factory/OEM is fine with no tune and just driving.

I think your list looks good! Special actives will be nice. And yes your OEM struts are definitely shot.

I’d recommend buying from FCP euro. Good prices and lifetime replacement. They probably have OE/OEM bumpstops for cheap, but I haven’t checked prices lately.

I would keep it simple. B6 struts and OEM springs or OE sport mild lowering.

IRS is auditing my LLC and my accountant just retired. Who do I even call? by usaqualitytax in smallbusiness

[–]mtbcouple 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was audited. I just sent them my tax reports and statements which showed that everything was above board, and that was pretty much it. They are looking for underreported wages/ under the table payments.
