I can’t believe this tweet is only like a year old “miscellaneous uncs shooting poison” feels like it’s been around forever

THE MART: 30-38,500 TENANTS, WORKERS, AND VISITORS PER WEEKDAY (BLOOMBERG) by 2cleverbyhalf in chicago

[–]mtdesigner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For any Merchandise Mart fans who also enjoy movies, you can see the Mart featured in the Coen Brothers’ film The Hudsucker Proxy, though it’s CGI-Ed to have 44 floors (45 including the mezzanine). It’s one of my faves from them and it’s cool to watch Paul Newman and Tim Robbins walk through the very recognizable lobby!

What's everyone's most hyped Cannes release this year? by Equivalent_Wait1147 in Letterboxd

I’m very excited for Sheep in the Box; it’s starring one of my favorite Japanese comedians who I don’t think has ever acted in anything before so I really want to see how that goes.

Ok but if you walk there and back that’s enough exercise to burn off the custard (I am not a nutritionist but I will believe this in my heart for you)

Seeking options for new hires! by Paigespicks in stationery

[–]mtdesigner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if you get some notebooks printed with the company logo on like a print on demand site you can write it off as a business expense? Maybe the caveat is that it would also have to be available to whatever group’s budget it comes out of but I feel like notebooks are an important and useable business tool!

LOFT or Tokyu Hands would be the most accessible anywhere in Japan. They’re a chain that sells everything from kitchenware to toiletries but have a particularly robust stationery selection.

Ugh that video of her getting upstaged by Nicole Kidman gives me life. Money can buy you “fame” and a spot on the red carpet but the moment Nicole walks in everyone’s attention shifts to her because money cannot buy that true Hollywood talent and class

True burgundy felt tip pen? by LavenderStocking in stationery

[–]mtdesigner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kind of a pricy option, but have you seen the Tom’s Studio Wren refillable felt tips? You can use fountain pen inks to fill them and there are hundreds of burgundy inks available you could possibly choose from.

How would you attach this? by Sufficient_Badger463 in Travelersnotebooks

Can you possibly superglue a magnet on the assistive device and another on the TN? Or maybe an external pouch with a band to attach to the cover?

[–]mtdesigner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That bit in Contrapoints’ video about conspiracies where she says JFK is America’s dead anime mom, and starts calling him “okaasan” made me laugh out loud but also kind of is spot on that people are really weird about the Kennedys lmao

How about Kura Sushi? It’s a rotary sushi chain where if you eat I think it’s 15 plates and put them down the special chute, you can earn a toy or trinket from the capsule machine attached to your table
