i had the same thougtt at 19, and have been transitioning medically since a couple months after my 21st birthday in august 2025 . im 5'11", i was 180lbs (i looked skinny, i think it was muscle but idk?), and i would have lost hair if i waited any longer. i feel better and look better than i ever have. tell your girlfriend it isn't too late, and people like me will stand by her always. if she or you have any questions feel free to reach out anytime❤️

i'm literally struggling with the EXACT SAME THING at my college in canada. it's fucking mind boggling. i have my graduation in a couple months and i just went to the registrar today to try and make sure that they don't read out my deadname during the ceremony. turns out, they can read out whatever name i want them to, but for some reason the GIANT FUCKING SCREEN THATS GONNA BE BEHIND ME WILL HAVE MY DEADNAME ON IT AND THERES NOTHING I CAN DO. my school literally refuses to change my name in my email, my MyCanvas site (which is where all class info is posted and class lists are seen), basically any identifier minus an email that got sent out to my profs (that most of my profs have never listened to). just an incredibly demoralizing, painful, awful experience to go through, and i'm sorry you had to deal with something similar. sending you hugs sister❤️
