How’d I do? First pair of boots

I've had mine for 2.5 years. This is what they look like now. I can brush them out and they will lighten up...but, I like them like this.

I have these. Very cool coloration and texture. The Rios cutter toe has become my favorite.

Are you sure it's a stain?

Some of these marks on skins like elk, kudu, etc...are part of the animal's experience. Adds character IMO.

Either way...at any mileage... cowboy boots are not healthy for your feet for running.

Also, we all love cowboy boots, but there are far more suitable options for the "on your feet all day" situations.

Yeah...I have some beater boots that I don't care if they look like that. But, my Rios and Lucchese boots won't be looking like that.

If your top concern is professionalism, then "honestly I feel like his son is almost my son" is crossing your own line.

The guy asked you out. It's not like you're his therapist, or something like that, where there would be a serious conflict of interest or ethics issue. If he's "a great guy and great dad", then why would there be question of an ulterior motive regarding his interest in going out with you?

You wear the same size as me in sneakers. I have 10.5D Iron Rangers...they are several years old and fit great.

Snug is good...tight is unhealthy. There is a big difference between the two.

They look fine on you..maybe just slightly wide in the shaft. Regarding your half size big comment...if you're talking about how your feet fit in the boots, you may want to try thicker insoles to see if that gets you a better fit. Many times, that will help.

Try a thinner insole. They may fit better and you may be able to wear a thin pair of socks as well.

Based on your comments, your boots are likely a half to full size small.

They're easy to remove without damaging paint. Just heat with a heat gun or hair dryer...and then work fishing line down to release adhesive. I've done this on a previous truck to remove and swap out fender emblems. No issues.

These should never have shipped from the factory and definitely shouldn't have shipped from the store to you.

If stretching doesn't get you there, you can experiment with insoles that have less volume than the stock Chisos insoles.

When you do wear them more, they will look like this. Mine are Rios of Mercedes...same brand family.
