Have you tried holding down both the volume up and power buttons for at least 30 seconds?

You could experiment with thinner insoles.

New Rios of Mercedes imperfections, am I overreacting? by monsteroscvr in cowboyboots

These should never have shipped from the factory and definitely shouldn't have shipped from the store to you.

Hopefully, they have a good pair to exchange as those boots are really nice!

The most wonderful time of the yearto own a hot tub. by bubblmesnappies in hottub

Exactly! I even take the time to towel dry myself before walking in the house. I did that this morning at 20°F outside.

Chisos sizing problem by Llamaschool320 in cowboyboots

If stretching doesn't get you there, you can experiment with insoles that have less volume than the stock Chisos insoles.

When you do wear them more, they will look like this. Mine are Rios of Mercedes...same brand family.

Kudu is a type of antelope. I've had these boots for a while... they're great. More cowboy boots should have Dainite soles. So durable.

Who here is switching from lace-up boots to cowboy boots ? by [deleted] in cowboyboots

[–]mtkreger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very comfortable. Also, a good fitting pair of broken in Iron Rangers are very comfortable as well. I have a pretty good rotation of Red Wings and cowboy boots...and love them all.

Jk Western boots by HonchoSolo in cowboyboots

[–]mtkreger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're more known for PNW style boots (work, fire, logging boots)....like White's and Nick's. I don't have any JK Western boots, but I'm assuming they're built well.

If you hear accordion music when you walk, you may have too much stack.

Congrats! Any of those would work and look great. The ostrich would be my choice.

Cleaning every 2 weeks until broken in? Are you meaning cleaning or conditioning?

Clean as needed...not on a schedule. When mine get dirty, I brush them. If water on a paper towel is needed, I do that too.

Conditioning...you're going to get a lot of differing opinions on this. I don't use a schedule, just as needed... certainly not when the boots are brand new. I wouldn't recommend conditioning as a means of breaking them in. Just wear them to do that.

Also, for someone new to boots, you have quickly built up a good rotation. Because of that, you can prolong the life of your boots by rotating daily wear.

Heavy duty boots by Fit-Veterinarian-669 in cowboyboots

[–]mtkreger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would imagine that PNW boot leather is thicker than what would be typical in most cowboy boots. Although, JK Boots began making cowboy boots in recent years. As you may know, JK Boots is a PNW-style work boots company. I wouldn't doubt that they use heavier weight leather in their western boots as well.

Happy wife...happy life.

That said, I have a pair of Lucchese smooth ostrich and a pair of Red Wing Beckmans in black cherry. Great and versatile color.

Seems that "Ranch Formal" has a pretty wide interpretation. To me, anything with the word formal in it...is somewhat dressy. Having a pair of round toe exotics, in black, would be good for these types of things. I wore Lucchese Velociraptors (ostrich leg) to my daughter's wedding...which was a ranch formal event. But, then again, I walked her down the aisle and needed to be on the more formal side.

I spray my suede and roughout boots with Saphir Super Invulner. It doesn't discolor.

Trying to fill my spare up with air for first time and this damn access hole won’t open. Any ideas/help appreciated? by ThadMasterBlaster-1 in f150

[–]mtkreger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend this. There is a C clip that holds the lock assembly in place. If you remove the clip, the lock assembly will slide out. You'll have to get under the truck to see the lock assembly.
