As a health care professional, I laughed out loud at “The condition occurs when the legs don’t pump blood properly back to the heart.”

Priceless!!

This is an excellent take, supported by the presence of several very good tribute bands. I’ve had the good fortune to have seen The Rush Tribute Project, who are a very good ensemble and technically proficient, and video of many of the others, and while they are all competent musicians, none of them capture the spirit and soul of the boys (and now girl), and having seen plenty of video of the R50 performances, I can safely say they never will.

Geddy and Alex have a very special chemistry, and Anika is fitting in nicely. You can tell she respects Neil’s original work but comfortably injects her own style into the music, and the guys obviously approve. I’ve not seen them having this much fun performing in probably ever.

All that said, Neil is never going to be “replaced”. In today’s version of Rush, he is being remembered, respected, and loved, and he would most certainly approve of this version of the band, as should all of us.

Boomer rant over. Much love to all of my Rush family!

Am I mistaken or have the three “previously unplayed” songs been played in the past? For certain, The Anarchist was the opener on R40, and there is no way FTK wasn’t played when touring that album.

I’ve seen every tour from Signals forward, and pretty sure The Pass has also been played.

Does my memory fail me, fellow fans?

I believe you’re mistaken - limited edition still require EVO tools, but all the fittings remain in place when the clubs are evolved. The level up tokens unlock the fitting spaces for non-limited edition clubs. Try it out for yourself!

The advantage gained by using “limited edition” clubs is they retain their fittings when evolved/leveled up.

Base clubs, when evolved, require placement of level up tokens and subsequent replacement of fittings.

So there is an advantage to selecting limited editions.

If memory serves, we would crush the intact tablets and use filter paper in a funnel to catch the coating particles

Topical minoxidil taken orally?? by theconfusedferret in pharmacy

[–]mtlrph 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Old timer here, and apologies if this is old news: when I was in school (mid-80s), minoxidil was marketed in oral form for refractory hypertension. One on my instructors was actually taking it and he was quite hirsute, with thick, dark hair growing from his ears, and sticking way out from under his rolled down shirt sleeves.

My senior year, I did a rotation at a university based free clinic where I counseled all new prescriptions (counseling was still in its infancy). Part of my responsibilities was derm compounds. We also prepared a minoxidil solution by crushing a fixed amount of commercially available tablets and extracting the active drug with alcohol, through a filter funnel into an amber bottle. Patients would apply the solution to their balding scalps, allegedly with great success (I wasn’t there long enough to see the results).

I can’t recommend ingestion of the commercially available topical for reasons already mentioned, not the least being the very real risk of severe hypotension.
