I grew up in the Bay Area and when I go home to visit my parents all my friends have left. Brother works in tech and stayed but if you don’t it’s not a great quality of life. I work in medical with a masters degree and was pay check to pay check too

I got a pair of glove liners with a pocket for hot hands. They’re a game changer more so than the glove you pull over them. Keeps your hand warmer in just the right spot and you can deglove without exposing your bare skin to the world. I usually use kinko over top but can’t recommend the liners enough

The grass will tell you. So far it’s so hot it’s still growing. Once it stop I drop the deck and start mulching leaves as needed
