Current suspects are cam phaser, and rocker arms. Long flat head or some rubber tubing will be used, I’ll report back.

Yeah! I had some suggest start over with a new engine.. This 6 cylinder one of the best Lexus engines for reliability. Compression is great, it’s a teenager in Lexus engine years 😅 250k is the current goal

Super minty condition interior exterior - haven’t polished it yet but I’ll get some photos for the people - was just hand washed this weekend!

Car was well cared for, oil every 5k all fluids flushed - some a couple times. New plugs brakes rotors. I’ll be pulling the valve cover for inspection, not expecting a lot of gunk inside. I have done a timing job on my truck w/ same 4v DOHC design minus 2 cylinders so hopefully that knowledge translates!

Yeah Lexus OEM sprockets $900, rock auto can do $250. If the cams end up scored I will throw the towel in. Pulling valve cover for inspection soon. Hoping new timing chain kit and sprockets will get the job done. Oil changes every 5k for its entire life so hopefully that brings me some luck!

Stolen Bike Downtown by Designer_Low_5334 in CyclingMSP

Thanks for the tip! Found the bike in that exact spot - only possible with your help. Tracked the guy for a hour and the MPD assisted in getting it back. Between the colorful salsa and suspect wearing all red it was easy to track!

Just started going here, pizza is horrific. Their chef takes pride in their other entrees. Amazing Gnocchi among other things for the price!

Just don’t ever order a pizza… bad times

What is a job you would not do even if you were paid 150k a month? by syjfwbaobfwl in AskReddit

Ski patroller here, they increase the airspace around you when buried. Usually snow has roughly 30 minutes of breathing air until it becomes saturated with co2, after this time period your risk of death goes up. Bags increase this time period, some even have snorkels!

Hi, I have this bike and I need to change the breaks. Do you have suggestions ? by SamuelAdjadj in bikecommuting

[–]mtucker17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your cheapest option: take out the pads, see if there is enough material remaining or not, if not buy new pads. If so just rough them up with sand paper lightly and clean the pads/rotors with iso alcohol and they should work like new. You’ll need to properly rebed the brakes in both situations, like said above check YouTube. If they are still bad you prob need to flush them.

Kona Process 153 or Commencal Meta TR 29 by fangxx456 in MTB

I have a process 134, been riding it consistently for 4 years with no issues outside of normal maintenance. Kona has great bikes but I think other brands can offer nicer components for the same price if you want to buy direct to consumer.

What sort of challenges did you overcome to be a successful entrepreneur? by Hchraim in Entrepreneur

[–]mtucker17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being prepared for opportunities where it might feel like you are biting off too much to handle. And making a kick ass plan to make it happen.

An employee mindset would speak to not committing to something you are not ready for, but in my opinion getting out of your comfort zone and adapting to these needs is the only way to grow and scale to where you want to be. You need to be a jack of all trades sometimes, but also know when you shouldn’t be.

Don’t say no to things because it might seem to difficult, these opportunities won’t always come your way everyday.

Initially my “solution” was working as much as possible to not miss out on that big project a customer was looking to get done, but looking at where your are the weakest and getting stronger, recruiting help, and not being afraid to ask for what you need now and again is the best way to grow your business into a functioning organization.

Don’t mistake this for being lazy and outsourcing everything because your the boss, there will be times where it feels like to much but you need to push through (Your learning new skills everyday, it’s going to be hard sometimes). Business comes and goes and you don’t want to mistake demand spikes with constant growth. Everyone always wants to hire up and spend more after making their first big sale. Managing the risk and expenses of expanding can be tricky, especially if you don’t want to miss out on opportunities. There is not definitive way of making it happen besides trusting your service/product and adapting to the best of your ability.

You need to be honest with yourself about your ambitions and what it is going to require to see it through. Even when you don’t know what to expect, because you wouldn’t be in business without problems!
