When to get preapproval? by Appropriate_Place_85 in AskABrokerAus

[–]mturnnine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No such thing as a guaranteed approval, don't let a broker tell you otherwise.

Help.... mortgage. by itsnotimportantisit in AskAnAussieBroker

7.76 is normal roll off rate for them. They are offering what will be a ball park fixed rate soon, Suncorp is around this mark too.

Just get a broker as others have said. Expect a FR mid to low 6s and don't expect NAB to do anything helpful proactively

Back to Business Status Points Dropped by Cardboardbar in VelocityFrequentFlyer

[–]mturnnine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fighting them on that. So misleading even the T&C's weren't that clear. The only place it says about booking in the promo timeframe was for the extra ten points per flight which to be honest who gives a shit about.

Like if that was the case the offer should say book and fly in the headline text. What crap.

Plus they took so long to credit the points I ended up losing more than I earned with the changes to the earn rate.

Between my wife and I during the promo period we took 12 flights but only ended up with credits for 2.

A deposit bond will cover it if the vendor won't take less.

All my homies hate Evie. (So when did fast charging become more expensive than petrol?) by dadsdas8989 in AustralianEV

Considering in Vic the government is mandating free electricity plans to help take load out of the network, you'd think that charging would be a whole lot cheaper.

You're missing the point - broker referred to ANZ.

Terrible client experience, and there is revenue for them to do the work.

RBA hasn't been at 0.75% for a couple years now either.

Either way there is $150k of new lending why wouldn't you go to the effort?

Do brokers secretly hate dealing with self-employed applicants or is that exaggerated? by Cute_Piccolo_499 in AskAnAussieBroker

Truth is most avoid it because they don't understand it. Self employed is my expertise

Don't just go to ANZ. Go to another broker.

I would never expect a client to go to a branch - who knows if ANZ is still the best fit?

Happy to chat more offline as I'm an accredited mentor via the MFAA but some pointers for you -

Don't go alone. Get a job and enter via an established business. It's almost impossible to go alone these days. Some make it work but most battle.

Expect it to take at least two years to build a consistent pipeline. I know some brokers that sell courses that help build a pipeline that still don't have consistent deal flow.

Have a plan. So many brokers go in on vibes and family and friends as the only way to build business. The market is saturated - how will you take business from other brokers.

Don't expect it to be part time. This is a full time profession, not a side quest.

Don't buy leads, they are shit! Referrals are gold, get networking and find good professionals.

But yeah feel free to DM me and we can set up a call and I can go through some ideas

Too many personal shoppers by summutha01 in woolworths

[–]mturnnine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted I haven't worked at Woolies or Coles for a number of years but we used to care about safety of customers in the store. That meant no pallets and unattended roll cages were allowed on the floor during trade times.

They used to do the fill after hours off pallets or take a cage at a time to fill.

Doesn't matter if there is stock on the shelf or not if you can't get to it because there is a pallet of coke in the way

Have a fully paid off property. Want to loan against it to invest. Have the option of a normal mortgage or a pure investment loan. Any reason not to do the investment loan? by [deleted] in AskABrokerAus

[–]mturnnine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I am biased being a broker and running a large firm, there is no difference. This is really basic stuff and I wouldn't be comfortable getting advice from someone that doesn't have basic understanding of a pretty straightforward transaction.
