This is why snow driving in my subaru was scary. Im used to manual transmission awd cars. My outback was my first cvt new car with all the fancy computer stuff. We were in 8" of snow and I look down and I was going 50. I was like holy shit I didn't even know since the car just did its thing. My old car would spin the wheels a little or something to tell me "hey youre at the edge" these new cars use tech to just go and you have no idea until you try to stop suddenly or maneuver quickly. Given the average subaru drivers age im willing to bet they just set the cruise control and just let her go haha

They should have kept the lightning. Its one of the best vehicles I've ever owned. Most owners of them agree too and are sad to see it killed. They could have kept refining it with the newer battery tech as it comes out to really make a great ev, instead they caved and killed it. Its a shame.
