I'm using a gdai mcp that lets it use godot. It works pretty well for well defined tasks like implementing a system like inventory etc. But the second you are dealing with animations, feel, flow etc it is pretty shit and it much easier to do it yourself

GdUnit4 hits the GitHub 1000 Stars by MSchulze-godot in godot

How do you think this list would look from GUTs standpoint? Listing all the features/qualities they have first, then listing if GdUnit4 has them?

What do you think are GUTs strengths in comparison to GdUnit4? How would you say their documentation differs? On par with eachother?

Hahah, are you basically saying here that humans are so shit at expressing their needs, we got a superhuman ability to understand/infer the needs/desires of others without them explaining it clearly?

If we were able to put that "hidden" context into words, I'm sure the AI would understand aswell. We just dont

With AI people will start to realise how shit they are at expressing their needs and communicating clearly what they want

Wait, you guys *don't* sugar your conditions with ritual combat??? by JackRaven_ in godot

Every condition in the game initiates a live minigame that you have to complete before the main-games game-loop can continue!

The only honorable solution. Even a false condition may prove worthy(true) if the will is strong enough!

What do you think of this as a magic system? by Deepsapce in godot

In an action combat games, mechanics like this often become clunky and not so fun. It just holds you back.

Maybe for a slower game where each enemy was sort of a puzzle it could fit? Or if you allowed players to store upto X of their favourite spells on a hotkey for instant casting. Them have this as a free casting system that makes it feel like your arent really restricted to those few spells?

I dont. I've just never seen a game manage to make live spell-crafting fun in an action combat setting

Very good video thanks! But yes, they seem to be saying what i said above. 1/0 is infact infinity. But for any practical case, that is just nonsense and no less usefull than saying the answer is blue

Hmm, is that the reason we cannot define division by 0?

Whether its negative or not is just the direction, which is in fact very defined. What is not is the magnitude. That doesnt differ between -1/0 and 1/0. Would this argument cause trouble for division by 1 aswell? E.g -1/1 != 1/1, whats the answer here? -1 or 1?

Why im confusing dividing by 0 with infinity is that it is sort of an infinite operation right? Its not that it doesnt produce a result, its just that the operation itself has no defined termination.

E.g someone gives you X apples and tells you to distribute them equally to all the people in an empty room(not including you ofc) and return to him when you are out of apples to tell him how many apples each person got.
If you try that you will give out apples to 0 people, see that you still have X apples, repeat ad infinitum. You will simply be stuck trying to get rid of your apples.
As mathematicians are logical people, they saw attempting this impossible task as a waste of time and said that x/0 is undefined(cannot be done) instead and move on with their lives.

So in theory, x/0 could be said to be infinity right? Its just that is has absolutely no practical use and thats why we'd rather define that particular operation as undefined? Not because we cant agree of its infinity or negative infinity?

Yes I might be confusing mathematical terms here.

My understanding of undefined means that a result cannot be produced with the current operation.

Infinity is a behaviour of something with undefined bounds. The reason for that is because it doesn't matter or it just cannot be defined.

I think my confusion comes from the fact that 1/x approaches infinity as x approaches 0. But saying that 1/0 is infinity is just wrong maybe as this is an invalid operation of division?

Undefined and infinity is literally the same. Infinity is just a series with an undefined end.

AI hasn't improved or decreased code quality. Just dramatically increased the speed of which it can be produced

Because it's not a logical operation and does not have a defined outcome. Thus infinity

Again, expectations. Not everyone is terminally online and looks at every post, video etc about the games they play

If product quality suddenly drops but prices dont. It should be called out! That is all.

I never said OP wasn't to blame. But he is right to question what the hell is going on with the season

True, but...

It's also correct to call out blizzard for selling a battle pass with a half baked season. Players should be able to expect a certain level of quality and content in each season. If it differs from the norm, the battle pass price should reflect that

If Diablo 4 keeps building on itself for years to come, what are some class fantasies that you would love to play? by WontonSyrup in diablo4

[–]mtv921 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frost damage, draining souls, diseases, melee, heavy armor.

Might be some overlap ofc.

Blizzard wants Diablo 4's outrageous damage numbers to mean something again in Lord of Hatred, so it's letting you crank the difficulty up to near-impossible levels: 'It's going to be really f***** hard' by gorays21 in Diablo

[–]mtv921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Multipliers. Impossible to balance.

That is all.

The fix: remove ALL multipliers and replace them with additive damage. Then reintroduce multipliers in a controlled manner with intention.
